Install the Meetings desktop app to easily start and join your meetings from the app. The Meetings desktop app package includes two parts: the in-meeting app, which allows you to host or participate in meetings, and the pre-meeting app, which resides on your desktop. You can use the pre-meeting desktop app to join meetings, whether or not you have a Webex account.

If you sign in with a host account, you can start meetings instantly, schedule meetings, join your scheduled meetings, add integrations to join meetings from other apps, and detect nearby video devices.

If you sign in with an attendee account, you can see and join your upcoming meetings and detect nearby video devices. If you don't have an account or haven't signed in, you can still use the Meetings desktop app as a guest to see your upcoming meetings, easily join your meetings, and connect to a video device. The Meetings desktop app automatically downloads after starting or joining a Webex meeting from a Webex site or email invitation. Click the installation file to install it.

Refer to the New webex sign-in users and the New webex guest users sections in the Webex Meetings desktop app installation matrix. If you want to install the app without joining a meeting first, you can also download it manually.

Go here to get the download file, then follow steps 3—5 below to install the file. The web version of the app is also terrible but at least it functions. On the positive side they have a cute icon.

The developer, Cisco , has not provided details about its privacy practices and handling of data to Apple. The developer will be required to provide privacy details when they submit their next app update.

When you are creating your meeting space you want to create it using the Training template. Breakout rooms can only be used in Training spaces. Cisco provides a Knowledge Base Article with further information on setting up Breakout rooms. I wasn't given the option of turning on Breakout Rooms when I scheduled my session through Canvas, can I still turn it on?

Then click My Meetings. Then click All Meetings. Click the Topic name for the session. Then click Edit. From here you can enable several features for Breakout Rooms. Cisco's WebEx Training website has additional information regarding breakout rooms.

If you need more space, you can download your recordings and store them in either Ensemble, Google Drive, Box. From there, select the type of survey you would like to create.
