2021.12.17 22:05

Lets you recruit Ulysses if he survived Lonesome Road, definitely a welcome addition to the game. These are just some mods to spice up how your game looks! Won't be writing descriptions for these.

I will not be covering them in this guide as I do not have much experience in handling them. If anybody makes a guide I will provide a link here. Welp, that's about it for now!

Hope this guide helped you, but if it didn't leave questions or add me and I'll be sure to help you to the best of my abilities! Know a underrated mod or a really good mod that I left out? Put it in the description and I'll add it to the guide! Please note that I won't include mods unless they are actually good, so if you are giving me a mod that adds a Varmit Rifle that does damage then it won't be on the list. Did someone said ridiculous nude furry mods? I made the mistake of rushing into modding. Go into it slowly, use one mod at any given time when you start out. That way, if you want to throw your computer away because you messed something up, you can just either verify the files through steam's verify thing , or delete everything and clean install.

You can also use WinRar. Contrary to what it says about needing to pay to use it, you can actually use it for free, even after the trial period ends you'll still get popups reminding you to pay for the software. As for the placement of files, I haven't done this in a long time, so try what the guide suggests first, ignoring other factors.

If it doesn't work, then I'd look around. Try messing around with modding your game with one mod at a time, preferably those that are a bit more complex to install. That way, if you just want to delete everything that is a mod and start over, you won't have to go hunting down everything, accidentally deleting a mod you wanted to keep, etc. Once you get the hang of it, then I'd say go for more than one mod at a time. I need some advice concerning uio and mods that require it.

When I use hud mods and the such even Nevada skies it alerts me that uio is not detected or is not found when I do have it installed. I have a feeling it might be a vortex issue but I recently saw a gopher guide and he used vortex and I did what he did and let vortex handle it. Perhaps the hud mods I am using are not being placed in the correct locations across my game files and are either inaccessible to uio or are somewhere it can't read them.

Larger mods usually load first. Smaller mods usually go later in the order. If you have crashes, disable your mods one by one to find which is causing it. After this, enable it again and move it around in the load order to try to fix your issue. Some mods may overwrite content of previously installed mods.

It is important on large mods to READ their pages to see if they suggest installing certain mods before or after. Your load order will not affect this, if you install a mod that overwrites files, your load order becomes irrelevant and those files are now gone. Another thing to note is that everything a mod adds has an ID number given to it this is important when using the console to add items, or in some mods that require user input.

These ID's contain letters and numbers, and are always 8 characters long. So an item could be f this is caps If you have a mod, the first two digits change to where that mod is in your load order. In the NMM on the 'Plugins' section you can find those two digits by finding the mod you need and looking at its 'load order' It will consist of a combination of two letters or numbers. This is needed for the fallout 3 example mod above it would be xxEA7 with the xx being where the mod is in your load order.
