One is the Titanium slide model the other is the steel slide model. Never have had a self fire or drop fire issue. I even conducted head high drop tests on both with Snap Caps in the chamber.

Not one fired. However, I can replicate the safety problem you described by pulling the trigger to the firing point and engaging the safety only on the Titanium slide model which is the older of the two. The steel slide model will not allow the safety to engage.

When I release the trigger on the steel slide model then the safety will fully engage and will not fire. On the Titanium model, when performing the same test, by releasing the trigger also disengages the safety. However, I did experience different results with a round in the chamber and no magazine in the gun. The trigger would then fire if pulled again. I agree that there is nothing wrong with either model and the problem obviously is an inexperienced shooter.

There is no reason why anyone with any sense or experience would pull the trigger to the point of firing and simultaneously engage the trigger. The judge that ruled on the lawsuit obviously must have thought Taurus, or any other firearms manufacturer, should design guns that are stupid proof!
