How to download the primaluce eagle core app
Less cables means less problems. Often times major bottlenecks are thrown into the flow of even the most experienced astrophotographers, like the myriad of cables, software packages, computers, software updates, guiding problems, camera connection issues, and on and on. Anything that can help to simplify the process and alleviate these issues is a welcome sight, and the EAGLE CORE aims to make your first foray into deep-sky imaging easier and more fun.
People tend to be lazy, hobbies obsessions! I believe that the relatively small size of the astrophotography market itself is a reason that many companies do not drive real innovation, but Filippo Bradaschia, CEO of PrimaLuceLab , seems to be as excited about this stuff as I am.
And remember, no matter how much money you spend and how good or fancy or sexy or high quality or low quality your kit is, the best equipment is the gear you use the most. A scope sitting in its case in the closet or a computer waiting for software updates and not doing its job is worthless no matter how much you spent on it!
The boxes and packaging alone seems to display that PrimaLuceLab cares a lot about their product quality. Every component was well-packaged and bubble wrapped, and it made the trip from Italy to South Africa safely and quickly without a scratch. Seriously — bubble wrap FTW. Check this quick unboxing video:.
Hubba hubba. Attention to detail is second to none, in my experience. I was very surprised at the tolerance for the little things, like the screw threads. At one point I thought the screws for the autoguider package were too long when I tried one of the many attachment configuration options to the EAGLE CORE, but it turned out that they were instead perfect to the millimeter.
My dealings with PrimaLuceLab so far have also demonstrated a very large amount of pride and concern over the quality of the products they make. It looks nice and feels quick when you use it. It actually took me a while to wrap my head around a process that easy, especially regarding astrophotography. I also have a mostly-unused Nexus 7 Android tablet and wanted to use that instead, with the different OS, bigger screen, etc.
It also worked fine. You can also use a computer, or iPad, and supposedly any wifi-enabled device with a web browser. There are basically only two screens to deal with: the autoguiding screen and the acquisition screen.
The autoguiding screen shows you the guide star view and common autoguiding controls and graphs, and the acquisition screen is a simple DSLR-control section for setting ISO, exposure length, number of exposures, dithering cool!
Once you press Start acquisition , it shows you the number of shots left, the camera settings you chose, camera battery level, and displays a zoomable JPG of the most recent completed exposure to follow the progress.

The ease of use has me seriously considering it. Cost fully imported…F Mount? I hear you in regards to light pollution, we live in Johannesburg we usually drive far, far away to shoot meaningful stuff. Wish there was something like that when I started.
Half the battle seems to be deciding and finding what gear to get and all the parts and pieces necessary. Great article Cory…. From there you have the ability to turn off and on the equipment you want to use. You can control all the power ports and the due heater ports. This is what makes the Eagle 2 a true observatory class System. Once you finish starting your equipment you are taken to the Eagles Windows 10 desktop screen.
There are many accessories for your equipment. The eagle has 8V and 3V power ports for your equipment. If you decide to connect the Eagle to a battery you must use a 12V regulator or you risk damaging other equipment connected to the Eagle. I recently sent my Eagle in for a possible blown fuse. Once the factory opened the eagle they noticed wet stains all over the circuit board from dew, which had started to affect other components. Its important to note that even with the dew damage Primaluce stood behind the warranty and replaced the unit.
I consider the problem to be the threaded holes in the top and bottom of the system. These holes allow for the buildup of dew in the housing and can allow the dew to drip on the circuitry. I believe the unit itself generates enough heat to hold off dew during use. The Dew must build up after you turn the system off.
If you use your system once a month or days apart then you will probably be ok as the dew has time to dry out. I live in Florida so Dew can be an issue during colder months. If you live in colder climates you probably wont have this as an issue or if you have a climate controlled observatory.
If you use your system multiple nights then you might have an issue with water damage. Ive looked into several solutions however Ill need to test these and update the review. Desiccant, however I dont think it can keep up with the amount of dew being produced. Sealing the Threaded holes with caulking but I will need to make sure they also dont act as ventilation for the CPU. Forget having to connect your telescope to a laptop or desktop computer with lengthy cables, and big batteries.
In a single control unit you have a Windows The amateur astronomers in Fiemme Astronomy Association conduct global outreach by showing the beauty of the night sky to those vacationing in nearby hotels, visiting from all around the world! In order to do all of these, they have a large 50cm diameter Ritchey-Chretien telescope, together with a 18 cm diameter apochromatic refractor in parallel. All the telescopes are installed on a large fork equatorial mount. How to choose the correct power source for your EAGLE EAGLE allows you to distribute power to many devices used in telescopes and astrophotography such as computerised mount, cooled camera, electronic focuser, dew heaters, etc.
You can use a power supply with 12V output voltage or a field battery. If you use a battery, this MUST be provided with a proper voltage stabilization. In case of any malfunction, immediately unplug the power supply. Which battery or power supply have I to use for my equipment? The power supply or battery Improve your telescope cable management with EAGLE Cable management in an astrophotography telescope is very difficult as it is necessary to use many devices mount, camera, autoguider, electronic focuser, motorized filter wheel, etc.
If you connect all of these devices to a standard external computer, when the telescope moves, cables may pull or disconnect.
