Very funny show, clever writing for the most part. Although the mother is a little over the top. I have only seen one episode so far. The episode where he has to earn money to buy a gift for a Jenny Swanson whom he has a crush on for her sweet 16 birthday party.

Even though the nerd in high school bit has been done to death, this is different and refreshing. Maybe it's because we can all relate to high school and those awkward times. Hopefully since it's on MYV and not one of the major networks it'll stay on for more than one season.

Zaphod 17 September J Berger is definitely one worth watching. It's a weird combination between something like 'Superbad' and high school life's akwardness. The show's plots aren't amazing some and most of them are unrealistic or just okay ,but they're always having some good points or just relating to something you can hook up with when it comes to high school life or just some points of everyday life -in a funny way The cast was pretty good and very convincing ,some the characters were realistic and had a good impact on R.

J's parents weren't really realistic but they were funny in an extra ordinary way. The show's humor usually use a vulgar kind of humor ,but it's just a shame on MTV that canceled it I mean ,I've seen movies ,tv shows ,and music clips which are way worse and more vulgar like American pie etc' -and unlike them ,this show is funny and the sexual references are used as a tool for humor and not taking the main focus of the plot.

J's life I feel like i'm swimming against the flow of all other reviews, but I really did not find this all that funny. It does have its funny moments, but it's not a funny show.

The main character RJ is very boring and sometimes a bit of a drama queen. His sidekick is always in a state of hystheria which does not equal funny. The screenplays are very idiotic and exaggerated and sometimes make all characters look and act like they are retarded. By the way, this has to be by far the worst season finale ever!! I was not expecting much from this series at first, but I actually liked it after getting into it.

It was really hilarious and totally kept me entertained. Over the years I kinda kept away from MTV because most of the programming seemed to be reality based. Now I feel a little bit more interested in MTV now that I found a series that is funny and somewhat interesting. The guy that played RJ Berger has some talent in teen comedy, I wasn't expecting much from the cast but that guy is funny. Hopefully we will see more from this hilarious show!!

At first I did not expect much of this show, but it surprised me. Paul Lacono is funny and believable as RJ Berger. Amber Lancaster is very beautiful and sweet, even though she plays a 16 year old while she is 30 Looks young enough though!

RJ's mom tells him that she divorced his dad because he was pretending to have a job. RJ's cousin gives him some advice on women.

S2, Ep3. It's "Lock-In Night" at Pinkerton High, and RJ tries to use it for the opportunity to finally have sex with Jenny, but a bitter Lily Miran will do everything she can to make sure that doesn't happen. Unfortunatley, they're laced with something that gives the party more life than the kids can handle. S2, Ep4. Meanwhile, Jenny suffers through a mysterious sudden outbreak of severe acne just before an upcoming photoshoot of the cheerleaders and is embarrassed to be seen in public, despite RJ's efforts to comfort through the ordeal.

When the pressures of his parents divorce and his overall school life begins to send RJ's GPA down the toilet, Pinkerton High assigns a tutor to him named Amy Bresner, who apparently has taken quite a shine to him. As Jenny seeks to lose her virginity to RJ, Lily reveals that she had him first, which makes her wonder if he's after his new tutor.

Miles seems to be getting lucky himself, when he loses his virginity to a horny teacher, who unfortunately gives him crabs. S2, Ep6. RJ seeks advice from his dad, but Rick is obsessed with his Dream Board.

Amy symphatizes with RJ and decides to help with Rick. Miles goes cluelessly into a peer support group after a girl, only to find that Lily is already taking part. S2, Ep7. Berger, he helps RJ with Amy. Pinkerton rally, up to Berger, and tells him that she is pregnant with his child. RJ's dream girl Jenny Swanson who he has had a crush on since he first laid eyes on her RJ was Jenny's study buddy in season one and after Jenny breaks up with Max he had his chance but found out Max was framed and gets them back together Miles ask why he did this and he replies "I want to be with Jenny more then anything but i wont do it with lies" Jenny breaks up with Max this time and she says she is done with him and ask RJ to the dance he says yes even tho he already made a promise to go with Lily but Lily gets hit by a bus so RJ goes with Jenny but RJ feel guilty for doing so and Jenny notices this and tells him go to her.

In season 2, as a result of his parent's divorce, RJ's grades start slipping. He seeks out a tutor and ends up getting a beautiful girl named Amy, who happens to be a couple of years older than him. She is pretty, smart, and down to earth. She ends up helping RJ out with his struggling with his parent's divorce, and his many endevours to get them back together. They soon start dating after he takes her to a weezer concert, and he believes that she is "the one". He does so at his birthday bash, and ends up having sex with Amy that night.

Amy is infuriated, and contemplates breaking up with RJ. While at the rally, RJ professes his love for Amy, and she returns the feeling, taking him back. Wiki Content.
