Your computer shutting down is generally caused by hardware failure, driver conflicts or overheating. Some obvious things to look at are: - Hardware temperatures under load - Faulty or poorly installed RAM. These settings are under the Boot options. Ok I will give this a try Which driver would be in charge of power management?

Try Intel Sideband Fabric Device ver I agree with the above mentions about overheating - but usually it will leave a trace in BIOS logs - as I mentioned - check them. Gregory for Microsoft This person is a verified professional. I will continue configuring this install and monitor the issue. Get the Intel Chipset drivers installed those will help with any power management challenges.

I find it odd that heat could actually be the issue I am facing right now. In the bios menu, the fan control has 3 options - full on - manual let you select fan levels between 1 to 9 - automatic which lets you set desired temperature and fan levels The thing is automatic mode doesn't actually do anything except being a repeat of manual mode. The official manual doesn't explain how these settings work at all when I looked it up.

If I had set the fan level to the highest, it will say on full blast and Windows 10 never slow it down for noise control But I had set the fan level to medium, Windows 10 will try to spin it up and couldn't because of absolute fan level and then eventually shut the computer down.

This is with all the drivers installed and updated. Edited Jan 5, at UTC. I know Windows 10 has more hardware integration with the motherboard. I can't isolate the issue and is so very confused. The computer only seems to shut down when it has reached Windows loading screen. I had retried installing Win 10 on a disk drive on q, and so far nothing is wrong with it.
