Both feature across her channels and are also adored by her fans. What a wonderful read. By Amazon Customer I appreciate how genuine and intentional the author is as she narrates through her journey of self by glimpsing into her past and present. I find her to be relatable and empowering. This book is not a display of her success but rather a conversation about how to confront fears and follow a passion.
Pretty Book, but not much depth. I have to be brutally honest and say writing is not her strongest suit. There were a lot of parts in the book that made me cringe and feel a bit embarrassed for her.
Some parts showed her personality really well and made me laugh out loud. Other parts just left me so perplexed! I am a bit disappointed about her attitude about certain sensitive subjects, specially her issues with food. It wasn't very clear if she suffered from an eating disorder or just was on the verge of dealing with one.
I would of loved to see her actually giving advice about how to get help in these matters. There are a couple other sections that felt the same way. She would go into something deep and then just move on to the next subject without concluding what she was talking about.
It felt like she didn't clearly explain her feelings. The pacing of the book didn't help, you could tell it was written in chunks and repeated certain things over and over. It's not something I'll recommend or even reread again, but it's pretty enough that I will keep in my collection. I enjoyed every single word and so will anyone else that reads this book. I highly commend and respect Estee for being as transparent as she was in this book. That's something that takes a lot of strength. Yes this is a beautiful book aesthetically. But staying in theme with the book itself, it is much more than that. I really think this book can help people realize their true potential.
