Devices with multiple interfaces are called composite devices. Starting with Windows , when a new USB composite device is plugged into a computer, the USB hub driver creates a physical device object PDO and notifies the operating system that its set of child devices has changed. After querying the hub driver for the hardware identifiers associated with the new PDO, the operating system searches the appropriate INF files to find a match for the identifiers.
The Generic Parent driver then creates a separate PDO and generates a separate set of hardware identifiers for each interface of the composite device.
The device class code, subclass code, and protocol code are determined by the bInterfaceClass, bInterfaceSubClass, and bInterfaceProtocol fields of the interface descriptor, respectively. You are truly an angel.
I live in India, and I was not getting the option, "Download this file by viewing a series of ads", here. So I requested my cousin in US who downloaded the file for me and send it to me.
Just had to buy a new machine, headset and cam on short notice for an online class. Budget and time restraints were considerable. The only cam I could afford that would arrive on time was the one I got. Everything seems to work but the cam. Well, it works Other times, well, it doesn't. Sometimes unplugging it and plugging it back in works, sometimes no. Sometimes when it is NOT working, Device manager says it is working properly other times instead of showing up under "Cameras" it pops up under USB controllers with error "Device Descriptor Request Failed" What's worse, when the cam screws up, Zoom locks up.
I missed half a demo today, the cam was working earlier, but by the time I tried to join the Zoom room, it froze. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Reactions: nish It has not been solved.
