Audi mmi bootloader version 2.40(h43) download

2021.12.20 17:22

At least you will have the final version The only thing I can't see now is the systems menu in car, so can't alter the ride level or set the sensors to have a nice graphic etc I'm going to load and see if it pops back on, oddly I can't seem to access the secret menu now as well!! But I can access the red menu to do software update.

As you reloaded the MMI software all the setting set at factory will have been wiped. You will need to enable the the green menu and enable the setting in there. The update to won't fix the missing settings. Thgouth that the case as went to put the fan on and car thinks its LH drive It now seems I can't access the green menu which I assume is where the settings are to re enable System etc.

Found an article on how to turn that on via VAGCOM now need to find someone local who has one to turn it on, but yep going to install so software is totally updated and no more changes. Anyone know of an article that lists the green menu factory settings for A6 Allroader, i. Update : Disc 3 hasn't burnt properly so have to do again, means a trip to mates house miles away as I have macs only and no CD writer. Don't know how long you are planning to keep the car but a purchase of VCDS will save you a lot of money on diagnostics.

The cables also keep their value, and easy to sell on when you have sold your VAG group motors. The only trouble is all the ones Ive seen on eBay only connect to windows and I have Macs, is there something Im missing as it seems you buy the cables then can you download the software?

I could get my son to dig out my old windows laptop I gave him and have that as backup, if he can find it lol. The car has K miles on it, so Im keeping her a while its my run around. Works great. Windows via VirtualBox also works perfectly on Mac. VirtualBox is free, runs inside Mac OS like Parallels and you can download a Windows image with a 90 day expiry from Microsoft directly. Hi in South Africa Q7 entered bootloader mode Audi put me on back burner for 2 weeks Got car there today 1.

Does not load ads 2. Cannot update mmi in any way I feel like putting the car alight Can anyone tell me what to do next I am fed up depressed and turning into a chain smoking alcoholic I am desperate as I cannot fix this Sent from my SM-GF using Tapatalk.

It puzzles me that the bluetooth isn't listed on the factory codes for my car stuck on inside front cover of servise booklet , which definitely has it fitted. Was it a dealer fit acccessory? Nope, bluetooth isn't listed in PR codes. Sounds like you have a problem on the fibre-optic ring. Best to get it checked using VCDS with help from someone in your neighbourhood or from and Audi garage. Could be any part of the electronics or a bad connection.

Did you post in VCDS section?? I agree with AdiHH, scan will be very helpful I would badger the people you got scan done from for log Only other thing that cross my mind is base plate flat, located in center of armrest space?? Right, I have compiled a few photos of the various parts of my car and a video of the problem happening and a glitch on the screen when the audio returns. My holder doesn't look the same as yours Gupsterg?!

WOW:yikes: never seen that one, looks like as if it only got the two large gold pins Now to go find out how to update the SW as it seems to be way behind!

Ok Please go to your car and select radio press set up then return and hold down until the screen changes to the engineering mode screen and post a photo of the screen to exit press return I just need to see the sw levels and if handyvorb is listed phone If you have a diag scan thats a big help if not pm me your vin number wauzzz so I can check your build specification If the bt has gone down it will be emitted from the diag log gateway install list hence the garage presumed not installed a simple loop break test with vcds will show if its defective or if you could take a photo of your pr code sticker look for 9zw.

Don't worry about not seeing the bluetooth symbol - it only shows when your phone is connected to the MMI via bluetooth and you haven't paired them yet. Go to the option in the MMI where you can set the Bluetooth pincode and set it to something like Switch your phone on and hold it close to the centre console left knee if you're sitting in the driver seat of a UK car.

The phone needs to be pretty close to the bluetooth antenna when making that first connection. Now get your phone to search for bluetooth audio devices and it should find a device called "Audi UHV nnnn" then just continue and enter the MMI Pincode you entered earlier, eg Then your phone will pair with the MMI. IF your phone cannot find the car's bluetooth module then you need to consult Audi or get someone with VCDS to check for a problem with the bluetooth module.

I doubt that there is a problem with the module if it is installed because any problem with a module on the fibre-optic ring esp the bluetooth module will make itself known by interrupting radio, navigation, cd every 10 seconds or so.

You're not seeing this, so either your car has no bluetooth module, it has been bypassed with a fibre-optic bridge or you're trying to pair the phone with it being held too far away from the bluetooth antenna hence my remark about holding it close to the gearstick area, as close as you can to the antenna.

Phone definitely can't see the car : Had it as close as possible to the MMI screen and nothing. Tried a few times, set everything back to default but nothing. Just tried three different phones and none worked. The only disks I have are the navigation disk and one that says MMI onboard handbook! Do all signs point to me having Bluetooth an it being faulty or to not having Bluetooth and the issues being something else? Cheers, will do. Just ordered the disks from eBay so will update when I do the update :.

If check AMI sticky PDF guide in there, easy to do with trickle charger hooked to points in engine bay, run disc 2 twice No, not near the MMI screen. The BT antenna is down on the side, near your knee. It may sound stupid but I'm on my 2nd A6 and, on both, to pair the phone and MMI I had to hold the phone close to my knee at the centre console for the phone and MMI to find each other.

After that your phone connects over BT if you have your phone further away, eg. It may well be something else but I'd try it one more time with a phone close to your knee for initial pairing. I've tried loads of phones all over the car but I really don't think it's working! Have you got BOSE??? Disks have arrived so will try and do the upgrade asap.

PMed a few users who have Vagcom locally but no response. Might try and get Bavarian Auto Werks to do a scan before I do the upgrade and one after if they are happy to email me the printouts. Did you buy the update disks from eBay? I'm on version 4. Yeah, got the disks from eBay. Happy to pay it forward with them when I'm done. The thread I link in post 57 A8 Tech advise Fieldy to do with engine on if no charger, you can do with engine on seen posts people done OK, so i've had disk 1 in for over two hours now and it's still going!!

It hasn't stalled there btw. It's still going on block by block. But over two hours! I ejected the disk and cancelled the 'download'. It did a restart and is now Saying: Bootloader Version 2. I removed the cable with the negative symbol, but the MMI remained on. Am I being really stupid?! I had a battery check done had both cables off then back on turn your ignition key on before reconnecting incase you get an airbag in your face Is this regular thing Chris?? The MMI just won't switch off and I need to be able to use the car tomorrow!

Is this regular thing Chris?? I've always seen A8 posting that so just follow his advice just incase. Think I seen it somewhere online too. I didn't use one. Just had the engine on. I presume I should be disconnecting the negative cable at the top left of the bonnet, near the driver side window?! Can I remove a fuse or something to switch the MMI off? You've just disconnected slave charge point Battery in the boot, spare wheel well Thanks everyone. I've watched that video about twenty times!

Battery disconnected and will have another bash in about ten mins. Disconnected battery and then reconnected. MMI still stuck in boot loader loop. How can I add BT to it? Yes you can update. Use CD1, then CD3. You can retrofit bluetooth to this car. Old help. I think updating my software on my Audi C6 Avant and enabling battery monitor has caused a problem where the car now does not go into standby and or shut down electrical components which is causing my battery to slowly drain overnight causing a low battery warning every morning and no exterior and interior lights on dark mornings.

Can anyone help with how to fix this, I am thinking it will need to be rolled back! Is this possible? Great site. There is no Bluetooth. I am considering having the Fiscon BT kit fitted. What is the best order? Fit Fiscon then do software update? Is there a risk that updates could cause Fiscon to fall over? First do full update to , then connect whatever you want.

Ive been downloading those files from [CUT] this link. Any advice? I do not recommend using self-burned update disk. Hi, Few questions. I believe I have 2G High. Would this update work for my system? I am having issue with the radio drawing voltage and someone said if I update the firmware it will fix the issue. Thank you kindly! Will this update enable full bluetooth connectivity with current smartphones? Addressbook, call history, music play etc. This instruction mentions in subtitle:.

If I update to mmi is its works bt. Official discs used Thanks. Your email address will not be published. Related Articles. Hi, very usufull info you have! Hi When i press car and then setup it shows me no further settings available for the car menu : What can I do to verify my version? Where could I get the mmi update CD for my 06 a6?

With software versions as low as you need to use all 3 CDs from this tutorial. Hi , Great guide thank you. Thank your answer. I accidentally clicked on the bootloader button in the green menu.

Can you please help me exit? This tutorial is about 2G system. Kind regards Ali. Any idea that could help? Updates with success! But not without turning the engine on. Hello, how can i open hidden green menu without conection to pc. Sorry but you need diagnostic interface to enable hidden menu. Hello, I have an Audi A6 Please can you help! Many thanks for your help. Please tell me how to code the mmi and the coding value Many thanks.

Maybe your bluetooth module does not require CD2 to be installed. Go to CD3. I cant change anything in the red menu — it all seems dead.

CD2 is not always needed when updating MMI system. Even if bluetooth is installed. Hello I updated my audi a6 , but i used the 2nd cd only one time, now bluetooth aint working anymore, i tried to repeat the update again, but now even with cd 1 the update doesnt start.

Where are the download links? It says initializing pheripheral and then for a second in contact With pheripheral. Is this normal? Best regards Magnus. U need to read enable green screen menu using a vag com tool. Basis Gateway Any clue? This should not take more than an hour. Many thanks!

Addressbook, call history, music play etc If not, updating seems pointless. Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published. We use cookies on our website to give you the most relevant experience by remembering your preferences and repeat visits.
