I can access on iPhone and iPad but not sure how to get the audible to play the audio book while reading the digital print. On the iPhone and iPad, I can follow along with the audio and read at the same time. I prefer this method for better retention. If anyone know how to listen to the audio book and read the digital print, all from the Mac, then please reply and help me out.

When I get it to stay open for awhile, It shows fairly new stuff only, and just notifies of a failed download on ALL new books. I spent an hour and 6 Amazon agents in a chat session and they will not supply a previous version, but all those having issues must wait until they resolve the issue.

Robertcoogan Dec 29 This app has a much better interface than iBooks, and is very reliable on my MBP and iMac, both of which are almost 5 years old. My only criticism is that there is no way to sort titles by date added. This app used to work flawlessly but never worked during the Yosemite beta period, during which time I bugged Amazon, twice.

And now it still doesn't work as of the date of this review, on the publicly released version of Yosemite. No doubt Amazon will fix at some point but shame on Amazon for allowing this to happen in the first place. It will load an epub doc but won't do the mobi conversion in the process. This version, 1. The version numbers are misleading. It seems this app only allows one to have up to 99 books in one's library, and then starts removing older ones to allow for newer books added. I've searched for any discussion of this, and have yet to find any. Whoever programmed it is only smart enough to display the message? That is what is called a rhetorical question. The answer is: the program is stupid. No wonder this app has two stars in the app store1.

However, using it on MacOS is frustrating. Seven months ago I purchased a book on Javascript and attempted to work my way through it. With no input from me whatsoever, the pages jumped forwards or backwards by pages. Then I would have to go back and find the page I was on. Clicking to find the page would also result in it going much further than I intended it to. Then sometimes that would go too far. When I ordered another book, this time on Python, it was the same wretched experience.

I gave up on it a few times, then came back because I already paid for the book and was determined to get through it. I love Kindle and Audible and I hate to give it a bad review but on Mac, this app is garbage. This is an impulse review so my opinion may change after awhile. I was thrilled when opening the Kindle book I bought to see how beautifully rendered the text was and the ease of navigating through it.

I was about to dock a star since there was an image of a table on a page that was hard to read but found that double clicking the image brings up a larger easier-to-read version. I was weary of buying the book digitally since I did not have a great experience with purchasing magazines in a digital format in the past through other applications, not Kindle. For the magazines, I would have to zoom in on the text in order to read it and use the scrollbar to get across the whole page.

The flaw with the magazine format was presenting the left and right pages at the same time so by default it was zoomed out to fit both pages on the screen at the same time thus making the text small and blurred.
