It's true that hamachi might causes some issues, but it's easy to use. The OP got confused by watching some youtube videos, as he writes in his question. So I thought the best option for him is to share the world via hamachi. If there is a problem with it, he can always deinstall hamachi. I personally had never problems with it. I think the best answer is the Hamachi one.

I imagine it like that, you can play your Singleplayer save, and when a friend comes around, or you need someone to join you, you could click a button in the ESC menu that says something like [Open Game for Friends].
This way you would start hosting your world, and people could join you if they know your Minecraft username by entering it in the Multiplayer Server field.
