I found this information on Sally DeFord's web page, which can be found here. I first learned this song about six years ago, when I was serving as music leader for the Primary Junio Sunday School. We were preparing our annual children's presentation, and one of the Primary leaders chose this song for the older Primary girls to learn. I had never heard it before but fell in love with it immediately. The girls sang beautifully.

Here are the lyrics to the song: If the Savior stood beside me, would I do the things I do? Would I think of His commandments and try harder to be true?

Would I follow His example? Would I live more righteously, If I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me? If the Savior stood beside me, would I say the things I say? Would my words be true and kind if He were never far away? Would I try to share the gospel? Would I speak more reverently If I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me?

It would also be appropriate while someone sings the melody. It is my hope that these arrangements will enable young flutists to begin sharing their musical talents in the first few months of study.
