What is Kaizen?

At this time, I'm going to state Kaizen method in English. 

Kaizen is the Japanese word for 改善, meaning “continuously improvement” . Kaizen refers to activities that continuously improve all functions and involve all employees from CEO to bottom staff. By improving standardized programmes and processes, kaizen aims to eliminate waste.

The history of Kaizen begins after World War II when Toyota first implemented quality circles in its production process. The term Kaizen actually became famous around the world through the works of Masaaki Imai. 

JICA has been supporting development of the manufacturing industry and other industries by introducing Kaizen philosophy.

Kaizen includes 5S method. They are known as 整理、整頓、清掃、清潔、躾 in Japanese terms, what's more, they will be translated into English words such as Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize and Sustain in order you to get finding out easily.

Each English words are corresponding to each Japanese words, therefore the people not only in Japan but around the world is able to analyze and adopt the method respectively. Lots of document regarding 5S are available through the Internet. It will help you to understand how Kaizen & 5S works.
