グイド・ピエトロポーリは、ヴェネツィア大学建築学部をカルロ・スカルパのもとにて卒業。ル・コルビュジェのアトリエで働いた後、自らの設計事務所を設立し、カルロ・スカルパとの恊働設計を開始、同時にカルロ・スカルパの助手としてヴェネツィア大学にて授業を担当した。現在では、息子であり建築家のマルティーノと共に、公共施設や居住施設の建築設計およびプロダクトデザインを行っている。また、カルロ・スカルパの後継第一人者として、世界中の展覧会に招聘され、関連書籍への寄稿も多数行っている。

Guido Pietropoli attended the Architectural Institute of Venice University with Prof. Carlo Scarpa. After working in the studio of Le Corbusier, he started to work as a professional architect, opening his studio and collaborating on projects with Prof. Carlo Scarpa. He was also an assistant lecturer on Educational activities on Prof. Carlo Scarpa’s Architectural Planning Courses at the Architectural Institute of Venice University. Now he is working on some public or residential architectural projects and some product design with his son, the architect Martino. He has been invited to some exhibitions around the world, and has contributed to many related books, as a successor to Carlo Scarpa.
