Mulan review. What was Disney thinking? They removed everything that made the original Mulan special. The singing. The jokes. The fantasy. This is not longer intended for kids. In every live adaptation, at least they kept it inline somewhat. This adaptation of Mulan is just such a huge disappointment. I can't imagine any kid sitting through this and enjoying it. Unless they were given tons of snacks to munch throughout duration of movie 😱
Enough of ranting comparing it to the original. If you don't compare this to the original, this is a ok watch. Also, i believe no one should ever bring politics into the movies. Everyone gave it their best effort for this movie to be made. Currently, Joshua wong has asked everyone to boycott the movie because of the main actress's support of China and hk govt. To me, he is destroying someone else's freedom of speech and work of art. For that, even though i am not a big fan of this movie, i will still support it because of the effort put in.

I'm still looking forward to this film, but if they were gonna take the little bit realistic approach as they said then they should've taken the historical type of movie instead of a typical fantasy one like the Chinese version. This doesnt look like a remake of anything. It looks like they took different aspects from multiple variations of the legend and put all the parts that's could work together and made this movie. which doesn't seem to bad. Mulan watch online.
