The meal is the same price for ages 3 and up. The 3-course meal includes appetizers served at the table , hot buffet all-you-care-to-eat and desserts served family style at the table. This meal experience does not guarantee a princess. Of course, experiences vary between visits. Each guest will also receive a special gift children have their choice between two items. The food and atmosphere are good for the entire family.

The only confirmed character you'll see at Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast is Mickey Mouse himself, who'll take you through immersive tales through his magical Adventurer's Journal. This character dining does not require park admission since it's located at the Grand Californian Hotel. Read our review of our recent experience at this character dining! During breakfast Princesses such as Belle, Tiana, Ariel, Jasmine and others arrive to greet and make memories with families. After breakfast, Princesses will share storytelling moments featuring tales of empowerment out on the patio. This is a great option for special occasions like birthdays, first visits, or anniversaries. You can book your reservation here. In the Disneyland Hotel located just a couple steps from the lobby and next to Steakhouse The food changes between dinner and lunch. I highly recommend the peanut butter pizza. This is our favorite Disney character meal. This meal can be a great mid-day break from visiting Disneyland.

But, as Disney recently said, there is always something worth celebrating. In the evening, Minnie Mouse might be found here. This character dining does not require park admission since it's located at the Disneyland Hotel.

Side note: Goofy's Kitchen is Gavin's favorite Disneyland character dining experience because of the variety of characters and wacky food options. For many years the brunch—featuring his favorite Peanut Butter Pizza—was critical for every birthday celebration. Unfortunately, Disney has announced the closure of the PCH Grill which means this lovely character dining is now officially retired and will not be returning.

This breakfast buffet features a wide variety of breakfast items, including build-your-own parfait stations, signature flatbreads, egg white frittatas, and more high-end breakfast items for adults, as well as more traditional options like Mickey waffles and Bananas Foster French Toast for younger visitors. Fans of Donald and Daisy Duck will definitely enjoy the experience, which puts them at the forefront of the Breakfast. We think that Plaza Inn is the best place for character interactions.

It is different from the other locations. You are guaranteed to see Minnie. You will meet her when you check-in. Minnie Mouse is positioned outside the Disneyland Plaza Inn so that you can get a photo with her before you go in for breakfast.

You can take your own photo, but there are Disney photographers on hand. During your breakfast, they will find you at your table to show you the photos and offer you the photo package. However, when we have visited Plaza Inn there has always been a great collection of different characters. Some of the best interactions we have had are with Captain Hook.

He can be a bit scary for younger children, but he is great for adults and older kids. Tigger is always a whole lot of fun. You will check-in at the outside desk and then be shown to the cashiers who are stationed just inside the restaurant.

You will pay, then get your ticket. You will give this to the Host who will show you to your table. The breakfast buffet food is pretty much as you would expect and very similar to the other character dining options at Disneyland.

You will always find scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausages, Mickey waffles, pancakes, cereal, fresh fruit, and pastries. The quality of the food is unfortunately mediocre at best. You come here for the Disney character experience. For that, we think it is excellent value, particularly if you have younger children. Plaza Inn is the only Disneyland character breakfast restaurant that has outside seating. As the weather is great most of the time in Disneyland, this can be a good choice.

The Plaza Inn is also the only Disneyland location where you can meet the characters and eat your Mickey Waffles outside. We think that the outside seating is a good choice if you want a quieter, more relaxed experience.

However, you are of course further away from the food! A good compromise is a seat on the verandah which is just outside the restaurant. The characters are good at dividing their time between inside and outside. If this is the case, mention it to a Cast Member and they will help you visit the character inside.

Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures is the only place that you can dine with the Princesses in the Disneyland resort. This new Disneyland character dining experience started on March 20, Napa Rose restaurant is absolutely beautiful. It will be interesting to see what this actually means!

The Disneyland Princess Breakfast will include personal interactions, photo opportunities, a fun takeaway bag, and themed activities. We are guessing that it will be something like the Disney Cruise Royal Court Royal Tea which is offered on select Disney cruise sailings. Tax and gratuity are not included. So you are in for several hundred dollars at least this Disney Princess dining experience.

Disney has announced that the food will consist of a three-course breakfast. Is the experience worth the cost? It is a great way to have some quality time with the Disney Princesses. However, reviews are overwhelmingly positive. The Disneyland Princess Breakfast will be very popular. You can also use the Disneyland App to book. At Disney World, the best reservations were gone days in advance in normal times.

In fact, dining reservations have never even opened up until 60 days in advance at Disneyland. In the past, while you may have been able to book a character meal even just a week or two in advance of a Disneyland trip, that is no longer the case. Character dining reservations have been going very fast — with the most — likely in minutes from when they are released. If your kids simply must dine with Mickey, you need a competitive advantage. Reservations are usually — but not always — released at 6am exactly 60 days in advance.

Refresh often to snag cancellations or new openings. I also highly recommend using a service called Mouse Dining which will alert you to openings and save your sanity. There is a free version with a limited number of email alerts as well as a reasonably priced paid version that sends instantaneous text alerts. See my guide to how you need to do Disneyland differently in for complete current dining reservation tips. I see this question asked so often by travelers headed to Disneyland for the first time.

In my experience, the best character meal is different for every guest. For my family, the best character meal at Disneyland is the one that fits in best with our schedule, logistics and location first and foremost.

We value park time and rides. Meals that work with our overall touring plan are best for us. We also go to Disneyland regularly, so we have more than one opportunity to try character meals. For a family taking a bucket list one-time vacation to Disneyland, their calculus may be very different.

If they have a child who is obsessed with a certain character, the best character meal for them may well be the meal that gets them that coveted character interaction time and photo opp. You just may go more right with some of them depending on your personal situation. As a result, the purpose of this post is to help you choose the character meal that is best for YOU.

Here are the factors to think about in making your decision. Before , Disney historically did not publish character dining prices. Prices seemed to fluctuate without notice, so it was hard to compare precisely over time. Thankfully, prices are somewhat more transparent now with some of them posted on the Disneyland website. As you can see, all but one of the character meals have usually been in the same price range per person give or take a couple of dollars.

And Plaza Inn was usually a few dollars cheaper than the other breakfast options. If you have a much bigger budget and a princess fan in the family, there is a super-premium character dining experience to know about.

Some travel agencies used to sell discounted character meal vouchers, but sadly those have been discontinued in across the board. But remember that you can always save on your overall Disney vacation costs by purchasing park tickets or a vacation package from Trips With Tykes partner Get Away Today.

That will certainly help free up a little cash in your budget to afford a character meal! Find out my other money-saving Disneyland tips.
