The Apartment at the Connaught is perched high above Carlos Place on the top floor of the hotel.
Uniquely carved entrance doors - a feature of many of the surrounding Mayfair homes - set the tone for a one of a kind residence. The space, designed by David Collins Studio, features an array of commissioned artworks and limited-edition books. The entrance corridor has been treated as an extension of the living space, and houses a library. There is also a stately double-height sitting room, a dining room and butler service. The Shangri-La's signature suite covers sq m as a one-bedroom suite with en-suite bathroom and dressing room, separate living room with dining area, office space, guest washroom and kitchenette.
It can also be connected to an adjacent room to expand the space to sq m. The marble-clad bathroom features heated floors with a Jacuzzi bath and separate glass-encased shower. The master suite is a circular space residing under the iconic copper-domed rotunda.
There is also a separate guest bathroom and kitchen. Divided into three by an emerald green partition, half of the master suite is dedicated to a living space with a dining table for entertaining. The other half of the room is split into two for the bedroom and bathroom.
Features include a cinema-style screen and LED lighting system. The Bulgari suite on the sixth floor offers a spacious single bedroom and contemporary kitchen with views across Knightsbridge. Inlaid mahogany furniture pays homage to a nautical theme.
