Cons: "I called American Airlines as ssoon as I book my trip to set up and make sure my small dog could fly with me. They neglected to inform me their partner, jetstar, does not fly animals. My luggage did not arrive with me. Both of my suitcases were mangled and broken. Items in my suitcases were shattered and crushed even though they were well packed and protected.
We got stuck on the terminal in MSP and missed our connecting flight. When we finally arrived the systems were down and could not get new flights or hotels. We were told we could not get hotels and had to argue for an hour. Even though it was a maintenance issue.
I arrived a day late and had to take extra leave. The plane from LAX to Tokyo was horrific. I booked a window seat, was stuck in the very middle. There was no way to charge outlets devices. The screen did not work. And my new luggage was also damaged with even more items destroyed. Pros: "Nothing". Cons: "Hour late crew rude". Pros: "I did not like anything about the flight to be honest. Oh wait you did have cool club lights that were blue that tried to distract me from the fact that I had to take an American airlines flight.
Cons: "Holy moly. You know if you stopped charging extra money for checked baggage you wouldn't have a ridiculously annoying amount of customers with too many bags for overhead storage. Then you wouldn't have to threaten your customers to store their small bags under the seat. Then I would have room for my feet under the seat.
When I would have been comfortable. I also wouldn't have to annoy my neighbor with trying to move and get comfortable. But instead the exact opposite happened and I'm offended you guys have America anywhere near your name.

On all the flights the staff joked loudly talking about their weekend or what they were going to do. I understand being social but keep it down. We are traveling and exhausted. They kept waking my children up with laughter.
On top of this. They misplaced our baggage for 24 hours. Ok yeah not such a big deal except when you were going to drive two hours away and going to need bathing suits and things in your bag. Pros: "The crew". Cons: "Biggest regret buying this "discounted" ticket. Not a real discount. Found out there were a bunch of hidden fees when I was checking in. None of the regular seats recline whatsoever unless you pay more hidden fees just to have your seat not be straight up the entire time, and there is no front table to put a computer.
To save another dime, they installed some super cheap 6 inch x 3 inch mini ledges that they call tables. They also refused to let me check in early so I had to sit and wait for hours since they refused to give me a boarding pass until I came all the way back to ticketing exactly and only exactly at 2 hours before boarding. Worst flight. A total shame since the crew was incredibly nice. Pros: "The price of the ticket. Cons: "- When I arrived at the check in counter at least an hour before my flight, there was one employee working the check in counter talking to a family ahead of me who were clearly agitated.
As their very loud and public confrontation continued, I learned that the employee was trying to get them to pay for their clearly over-sized "personal items" and they vehemently disagreed.
The employee did nothing to diffuse the situation and just engaged in arguing with them back and forth. They argued for almost 30 minutes while I stood waiting, worrying that I was going to miss my flight through no fault of my own. The first employee began furiously typing and working on his computer and ignored the now long line of customers in front of him.
The second employee began helping the rest of us but was also much less than enthusiastic. He asked me to put my small, overhead bin sized bag on the scale and I did so. He told me that "the prices went up a few days ago. He processed and then he took my bag. When I asked why he was taking it, he said, "Oh, you checked it," which I had absolutely not agreed to do.
Seeing the line behind me and the very few minutes I had left to actually board my plane, I just let him take and check my bag. The flight attendants were very stuck up and played on their tablets and phones for the duration of the flight, ate pizza, and looked to be drinking too. Not much customer help, but that's also because no complimentary items are given through frontier, no even a half cup of soda.
There are no bonus features on board like wi-fi or tv's on seat backs to order tv or movies. The price of flight was offset by the cost of bags and seat, so I ended up paying the same as I would have via United.

When I ask the agent why it was the recommended during purchase, she said I should have read the full terms and conditions during checkout. To me, this was a true scam. She told me that I could appeal the conditions of the travel insurance, but I would have to present a death certificate of the friend's baby that had just passed - the reason the baby shower was cancelled, and the reason this trip was cancelled.
It was appalling. I tried calling Frontier directly, but their reservation desk was closed due to their system being down. I ended up not able to cancel the flight or even speak w a Frontier rep before my flight departed.
In all, I was given 6 different numbers or lines to call to sort through this situation. All I did was waste hours of my time. This was a terrible situation where I feel like I was the victim of a scam. Pros: "The desk agents at San Diego airport were helpful, poor people. That is about the only positive thing. Frontier's help phone line was ridiculous and when I finally got a person they were non sympathetic to my issues and completely not helpful. Cons: "Fair warning: never fly Frontier. My flight from San Diego to Denver and then on to Atlanta was bumped the first day because the plane "broke", which would cause me to miss my connector. That next morning, I got a text saying my am flight was delayed by more than an hour, so I called Frontier and asked about my connector times.
They told me I would have 10 minutes to disembark the plane and make it to the next gate and, if I did not, I would be stuck in the Denver airport for 12 hours. I asked if that was the case would they put me in a hotel I asked if I changed my flight to the next day would they put me in a hotel Thankfully, I know people in San Diego, so I stayed with them that night.
When I say severely, I mean my am flight was rescheduled to leave at am. That would, once again, put me missing my connector. I waited in the line with the 50 other passengers to talk to the desk agent for quite a long time.
At first, the agent told me that I would have to wait until the next morning again. I then told him my plight and the events I had already been through. He found a route that would take me at am from San Diego to Denver then have a 2 hour layover, then fly to San Antonio, then finally get to Atlanta at am.
So, that is me arriving at the airport at am Sunday morning and getting into Atlanta at am Monday morning So, I had to take it. Frontiers way of making up for all of this nonsense? Basically a worthless piece of paper I will never use. Cons: "When we checked in at the start of our flight in Denver we were told the flight was cancelled by a very RUDE attendant at the counter even though the reader board showed it was on time.
The Frontier person had absolutely no intention in helping and could really care less. Ended up going to the South West counter and the people were great.
Frontier should take a lesson form Frontier about customer service. When I book my next flight I will have to be very desperate to use Frontier because of the way I was treated. Pros: "Very professional staff treating passengers with respect Planes were clean and on time".

Last flight of the day the cabin pressure was off so kind of hard to breath. Both my wife and I experienced this. Then, the Departure board at the airport totally dropped the flight, Then again thru Kayak I read that the flight would NOT board in terminal 1, Gate 21, Domestic terminal, but ar gate A3 in the International terminal. We all had to exit domestic and go to international and again through TSA. Then the flight departed another 30 minutes late finally over 2 hours LATE!
Upon arrival at Phoenix the plane taxied too far away from the exit ramp-another 40 minutes before we could depart. It was an awful flight experience.

I was required by the lady at the front desk to pay it. Thats ridiculous! I can understand the initial price at the checkin gate but that price shouldve been covered for the roundtrip. I will never fly Frontier again. And ive told several ove my friends and family not to fly with that airline either. The reason why they are so cheap was because they will find a way to get you in the back end of the deal. I couldve flew with American airlines with no layover and not have paid a fee for a carry on.
Wouldve been at my destination faster and no hassle. We boarded on time but took off a bit late. Cons: "Tight squeeze in those new seats. For some reason our row was skipped when the drink cart came by. I don't like having to pay for soda on a flight I've already paid a couple of hundred dollars for. But I would have liked a glass of ice water. Cons: "The pilot was late from another flight". People were helpful boarding the play. The crew seemed friendly and chatty. I had a good seat upgraded to the first three rows for extra expense. At first I went to 1 and the flight information said Trenton and I didn't see the 1A or even go there to look. I found a helpful Delta service personnel who said, "Oh these people, they are never around to help the passengers. I'll help you. He went online at a kiosk in the general hallway and pulled up the flight as departing 1A. Sincere there was no way for me to know about this. I could have missed the flight. Either post someone to direct passengers OR put the correct information on the electronic ticket.

The armrests were also super uncomfortable, but when you try to move them back, they still straight up so you can't be comfortable. The crew wasn't very personable like more famous airlines. Everyone seemed pretty unhappy to be there and talked minimally. You have to pay for your bags, food, and drink. No entertainment available to judge. Probably won't fly spirit again. Cons: "no notification that the flight was cancelled until I got to the airport; even then it was not listed on the board and had to go back through security and back to the ticket desk for them to tell me. They gave me no alternative but a refund, basically stranding me at the airport to get another flight. They hurriedly put it on the board, and then told me that the flight was cancelled due to the hurricane that they knew about at least 48 hours before, but still told me the flight was on time 12 hours before it was due to leave.
Terrible customer service! Did not even offer to find an alternative for me! No help at all. This airline should not even be offered by you. I booked in March for a September flight because it fit into my itinerary, however the flight times changed dramatically 4 weeks after I booked which became a hardship as well. No one should ever book this airline Everything from start to finish was awful.

They didn't want to let me on the plane, even though they never paged me nor did they change the departure screen in BWI. The plane left an HOUR late The lady at the counter was going to rebook my flight and then someone called and told her they needed to let me on the plane because they hadn't even refueled yet. So she begrudgingly let me on the plane She forgot to scan my boarding card, so do you know what that means?
I was MIA on that flight. Not only did they not have a record of me on the flight thankfully nothing tragic happened , but they canceled my return flight from SAN to BWI.
So after a lengthy phone call to get rebooked, they delayed this flight twice and then just canceled it. I had to go to the counter and beg to be put on another flight. For what? Because I want to fly Spirit again? Cons: "I arrived to the airport on time.
I did not see any marked kiosks so although I wasn't checking any bags, I got in line. I saw kiosks along the front of the counter that weren't being used, but I waited patiently in line. After about minutes, the lady behind the counter tells everyone that there are kiosks unmarked behind us.
I walk back to the kiosk and it tells me that I have not checked in on time. Apparently, the cut off ended like 5 minutes prior I figured it wasn't a big deal because I still had plenty of time to check in and make it to the gate. It was their "policy". I asked to speak to a manager.
They made me wait 45 minutes to speak to somebody. He told me I was a "no-show" for the flight They were unsympathetic to my frustration and seemed smug and slightly amused at my frustration. Overall this airline is trash. It amazes me that they still can't figure out very basic customer service issues. And they wonder why people are fed up with airline service. It's not like we aren't all spending hundreds of dollars on these flights Don't be fooled by their cheap fares. They are making money by implementing a bunch of other fees and rules to screw people out of their money.
Oh and by the way, I wasn't the only one this happened to on my flight. There were at least other groups in the same boat. So it wasn't just a one-time thing that happened to me. I very much got the impression that this is a conversation they have all the time. I'd love to know how much money they have kept from people who never got to take their flight. It was a rough flight without turbulence. When we did get turbulence coming into Vegas, he missed the runway. Multiple people were throwing up. Don't fly Spirit if you expect to arrive at your destination on time. Cons: "Airplane seats are never comfortable.
Pros: "Honestly, there was nothing to like. Cons: "I can't give it a rating because they cancelled the flight and had nothing to book us on. Waited over 3hrs before they finally found me something. Gave me a hotel voucher but when I finally got to the hotel, they had no rooms. The transportation to the hotel cost a fortune because the hotel shuttle would not pick up the phone.
They finally put me in a room with someone else from my flight. I got 60 min of sleep before having to return to airport. And, the lady at the hotel kept my food vouchers so I didn't even get to eat the next day. Pros: "The original flight cost was comparatively inexpensive, but when considering what I got and didn't get for the price, not really.
That's ridiculous. And the worst part was, when I asked why my daughter didn't have to pay for her carry-on a backpack , she told me that it was because it was a backpack, and that if I'd have had a duffle bag or some other type of tote, I would not have been charged.
How does that make sense? I shoudl have asked her for one of those plastic bags and put my stuff in there! Good fodder for a comic, to be sure. And I will be sure to spread the word about this to all I know.

On the flight the seats are too close and they did not recline; my flight was little over 3 hours and I was so ready to get off the plane 5. Flight attendants were not approachable 6. Boarding went well but the boarding process is hard to mess up. Cons: "I didn't know that Spirit charges for carry-on baggage.
Most airlines offer a personal item and a carry-on for free so I thought spirit did the same. Had I know that they didn't I wouldn't have flown spirit. I called the customer service to see if they could give me a refund for that fee but no dice. I had to get going and fly out. Spirit was the cheapest flight option for me but after I paid my carry-on bag fee it was the most expensive.

The people at the check-in counter said my seat had been given away, they could not reroute me with their computer system, and I had to call Reservations. I did so, was put on hold for several long stretches, and ultimately told that not only could I not get on another outbound flight without purchasing a brand-new ticket, but my return flight was now nullified and I would have buy that again too.
Despite how distraught I obviously was, Spirit was unwilling to do anything to assuage the situation. I wasted an hour on the phone in the airport and ended up having to drive to LA through traffic on my birthday. A terrible experience. Never again. Will fly Southwest. Cons: "Employees are not empowered to work toward customer satisfaction. Pros: "The seat and leg room seemed better than average. The rate for the flight was reasonable,". Cons: "Well this was my first flight with Spirit. Since I went with a 3rd party vendor I didn't know the luggage fees or how they worked.
So of course I spent more than I should have if I had known how to handle. In fact I could have planned different and maybe not spent the very pricey fees for the carry-on I used. So I guess the goal is to avoid them or minimize them by purchasing early when you book your flight. Like I said it was my first time so I definitely wasted money due to lack of knowledge on how those fees are done.
