Online Profiles: 1 Good. I had Nick, who listened well to what I wanted, and cleaned everything he used thoroughly. Was talkative, without biting your ear off type, and did everything I asked well.
As people mentioned, they keep you turned away the entire cut, not sure why even have a wall mirror then other then for show, so I was apprehensive, but the cut came out much cleaner then my last 3 and more what I'm used to.
Overall, great without being outstanding, but will definitely go back again to hopefully get consistency finally. Christian Focht 07 Sep Israel did such an astounding job, really went above and beyond for just a beard trim.
Never got one before, but will definitely be back again soon! William Reed 04 Sep Even though the site says "Walk-ins Welcome", it is advisable to book online as they get booked very fast. I had Victoria shave and trim my beard and I must say she was awesome.
I went in knowing the look I wanted and she pulled it off flawlessly. Gonna try to go every 2 weeks to keep my goatee trimmed and neat at all times. Phil 24 Aug Unfortunately I gave this place 3 chances since it has great reviews and even my personal friends recommend it. But each cut was bad, you could get similar at a Great Clips but the prices here are not near as cheap. I had Victoria, then Nick, then Victoria again. Both were very nice.
However they turn you away from the mirror so you can't monitor the progress. One of my haircuts I asked for a fade up to choppy on the top, and when he gave my the mirror I was turned away the whole time it was some 's slick forward into a curl??
HorrendousThe other two haircuts just didn't look good. My friends would smile when they saw me after because it's just a bad haircut and I look funny. Kinda ruins my confidence for a while after each of these haircuts. Lastly, a lot of the tools aren't cleaned between clients I think. The clippers had multiple different kinds of hair on them, and after my last cut my scalp is really itchy. Jack Hayes 27 Jul Great haircut at a reasonable price, especially for downtown.
Raymond Brothers 08 Jun Talking about customers, in front of customers is not a professional thing at all. The "fade" I received is completely different on both sides and the haircut was rushed.
I had entirely way too much hair trimmed off the top and ended up lop sided and also had to "ask" for a line up. Never have I ever needed to "ask" for that. Will not be coming back I always love any chance I get to see the gang at Barber on 24th. I go to Burke and Payne Barber Co. Coolest Barber Shop atmosphere in Philly.
Shout out to Mike Jr. You can schedule online or just walk in. Any chair you land in is a Bingo!! Syd Shuster 25 Mar Every barber I have used has given me consistent and friendly service.
Nathan Katz 26 Feb After briefly asking what I was looking for Monique proceeded to turn me away from the mirror and take offense when I turned to look at how the cut was progressing. At the end of my haircut when I asked about a length discrepancy she became defensive, and said she could take off more if I wanted but this was the right way.
She was generally rude and abrasive throughout. There were multiple instances where I considered just standing up and leaving the appointment. The haircut was absolutely not worth the price and I regret paying for it!! Finn Hutton 25 Jan Many barbershops have an air of arrogance and exclusivity about them - almost like I'm inconveniencing them by coming in.
Not this place. Ask for Phil, he is the man. Nick Ao 15 Jan I have used Barber on 24th a total of 3 times for myself and my little guy. This happened to coincide with my 1 year old needing a regular barber to use.
These guys proved to be a perfect fit from the start between the ease of booking appointments to the awesome care of my son provided by Monique. The shop is clean, has good vibe and has great barbers. In fact, she was so sweet with my son for his first haircut, he was laughing and smiling at her the entire time. She really is great with kids and proves that every time when she finds new things to keep him occupied with.
All in all, I highly recommend the shop, especially Monique, with a true 5 star rating!!! Jeffrey Liu 10 Jan Been coming here for years. Book online only. Nice barbers. Chill dude feel. Truly one of the worst haircuts I've had in a long time. The person cutting my hair was very unprofessional and wasn't polite at all, and worst of all I couldn't see what she was doing with my hair because she chose to revolve my chair away from the mirror.
Also first haircut where there's no shampoo or water sprayed before the haircut. Overall a very sloppy job, would not go back or recommend this place.
Kevin Morales 12 Dec I usually dont post reviews but i got one of the worst haircuts Ive ever received weeks back. The barber Israel was completely unprofessional and it felt like he did not want to be there. Gurveer Higgins 03 Dec I walked in for my appointment and showed a picture of a hairstyle I had on my phone to the hairstylist.
He replicated it perfectly making that made me satisfied and happy. Make an appointment with this salon now, you won't be disappointed. John kelly Camacho 25 Nov First time and last. One of the worst costumer service ever.
Felt like I was getting a haircut with my enemy. If you like to be treated good and professional this is not the place. If you booked with a barber and a guy with a long beard comes, RUN. Trust me. The shop looks good but the service is the worst. Matthew Wilson 15 Nov Good haircut, solid pandemic protocols, great location.
Ben Patrick 13 Oct I recently moved into the city from the suburbs and did a google search of the top barbershops in all of philly, and after reading the positive reviews for Victoria I decided to book an appointment with her to give it a shot.
Five out of five stars - I definitely recommend Victoria as a first time customer to anyone seeking an excellent haircut in philly, as she was highly attentive, careful, and professional as well as friendly. Thanks Victoria! Lex Luthor 21 Sep Had a amazing experience with Monique. She did a amazing job cutting my hair.
Would absolutely recommend her to anyone. The Man 10 Sep Robert Palmer 09 Sep Love it here, everyone cuts really good here!! Georgios Tsoflias 08 Sep Great experience.
Highly recommend Victoria. Anthony Paris 28 Aug Great vibes and awesome barber chairs. Kevin Hopkins 26 Aug Phil was incredibly cool and great at communicating with me as to what kind of cut I was looking for and good thing he did because I would have come outta the chair very different. Ross Weisman 10 Jul Got a haircut here after months in quarantine. My barber Israel was professional, nice, and gave me a great cut!
Barber on 24th implemented safety protocols during COVID, including large pump bottles of hand sanitizer, the barber wearing gloves, everyone wearing masks, etc. A great experience all around, and I look forward to coming back. Professional, fast and clean cut. Highly recommend. Alexander Juliano 16 Feb Great, good-looking haircuts with a lively atmosphere and sociable hair cutters.
I had a horrible experience. I paid and walked out because they were being extremely rude to each other and customers so I knew talking to them is useless. I called to speak to the manager Phil and the lady sighed and told me to call in the morning. People get a haircut to take care of themselves.
Not get humiliated and have a helmet haircut. Haircut was patchy and not close to what I asked for. Jared Bonczek 24 Nov Always had good experiences here but yesterday I got a really bad cut. This barber nailed me in the neck when doing my line so hard it made me jump, still red and irritated the next day. While doing my line on my beard, he was so rough my face has red lines on both sides and is still irritated.
Also my fade in the back is messed up and not blended well at all. Total waste of 50 bucks. I expect better from this place read more. Robert D'Andrea 18 Nov I get a hair cut times a month.
She takes her time and never rushes even if my cut is taking a little longer then normal. Always provides great customer service and I consider more then just my barber now but a friend. Thank you Vic for the consistency and respect you always give me. I travel from Northeast Philly to Barber on 24th just because I know I will be getting a amazing cut.
The other barbers in the shop are also very kind and provide great customer service. TIP: Most of these barbers book up extremely fast especially Victoria. I usually try to book my appointment in a couple days in advance because of the high volume of clients she has. Just speaks of type of work they provide.
If you see a barber just standing by usually that means their client is either late to their appointment or a no show. Michael Qaqish 25 Oct Love love love this place. Great barbers, cool interior. I wish I lived in South Philly still do I can go there. Chris Parker-Rajewski 13 Oct Phil is a great barber with good conversation. N M 11 Sep Ok cuts, but I wouldn't get attached to your barber with high turn over and Tanya is less than accommodating when assisting in offering a new barber.
Paul Grajales 19 Aug Great place!!!! Amazing Barbers!!! You need a Bearbershop with positive vibes and great Barbers? Michael Lynch 18 Aug Great traditional barbershop. Probably the best haircut and beard trim I've had in Philly, and most reasonably priced at that! Can't go wrong with any of the staff.
Shout out to Liane! Katherine Palumbo 06 Aug Thanks, dudes! Andrew Grundy 08 Jul
