We got our rice in dolsot, which is a Korean stone pot that makes the rice crispier and overall just — better. It will take a bit longer if you order dolsot rice so just be prepared to wait for your food to come out. The portions are VERY generous — we were full from sharing 2 menu items among the three of us. The quality of the food was great — unlike a lot of other Korean places where spiciness and overall taste is solved with a lot of MSG , this place seemed to know how to make good tasting food while maintaining the integrity of the dish.
My mom never uses MSG when she cooks, so our family has become very aware of the difference in taste when a restaurant does or does not use MSG , and we all agreed that the food quality was great. The service also surprised us. The lady actually asked us first if we needed anything or if wanted any more banchan, which sad to say, was the first time this has happened while eating at a Korean restaurant in DTLA.
Lastly, this is just a small tidbit but we thought it was pretty unusual. Impressive effort to reach out to the community. Bryan S. I think I had one of the worst restaurant experiences tonight unfortunately. We had a group reservation for 7 pm and they knew that we were coming.
We ordered the food, but several of us, including myself, did not get our food until 8 : 40 pm. It was a simple dish, too. The « sulung tang. When we asked why it was taking them so long, they were completely unapologetic about how slow and bad the service was.
They said the reason they served some of our food later was because we ordered later. This just was not true. We all ordered at the same time. That was quite insensitive.
Aeon N. It was late at night and we decided to eat here because of the « tofu» name thought all the food was vegetarian.
Got a veggie clay pot. It was okay. The place looked clean, which was a plus. Stephanie Z. Though none of the workers spoke any English, we somehow managed to come to an agreement on a beef and dumpling soup with spicy broth. Dumplings were good and there was a good amount.
Banchan was average. But the purple rice was excellent. Joseph A. Never too busy, good food. I love Seong Buk Dong also, but this spot is more chill. Tuss R. After finishing work at the cute coffee shop in this complex Space e. I walked in at 9 pm 1 hr before they closed and was immediately greeted by a waitress to be seated. Got home and liked that they separated the ice soup from the noodles to not make it soggy.
The noodles were delicious, they not only have thinly shaved cucumber on top but also thinly sliced apple pieces that added an awesome slightly sweet crunch to the starchiness of this noodle dish. The pickled radish and spicy paste were yum not too spicy although I am Thai so my tolerance is a bit different. Noodles were not too sticky or soft and were smooth especially once combined with the cold soup.
Good tofu but lacking in service. Easy parking. Genie L. Service might be better when there are few customers. Vivian K. This restaurant is not the worst, but I am never going to suggest going back. The side dishes are mediocre at best and the food is definitely below average. Please do not come here. You are worth it. You do not deserve this type of service. Sean P. Is this place trying to go out of business?

Kenji K. Edward S. So disappointed these days. No more extra green onions on the table. Parking sucks at night. Oh well. Taylor H. NG to the max. Misun C. It has been more than 10 years since I became a royal customer to this restaurant.
Kids love the hearty soup and noodle. We stop by this place on our way back from skiing and family trip. I also bring the soups to sick friends and for myself when I am lazy or tired to cook.
Eric Q. The spicy is very spicy!!! They were both good but it was too spicy for me. The kimchi here is also good. Scotty C. Their kimchi goes really great with it and I love that they have two different kinds.
Everything on the menu is delicious— I recommend you just pick a dish at random and order it each time you go there! Korean comfort food is the best. Michelle P. This place had decent gamja tang. I ordered my food to go and we got two banchans.
Kimchi and daggwang pickled reddish. Banchans were good but I was expecting more dishes! Soup itself was okay… good flavor but could have more refreshing taste… if that makes sense? The purple rice was really good! Monica L. This place is awesomeeeeeeeeeee!!! Open 24 hours and the selection is huge! The seafood pancake is pretty bomb — looks like a deep dish pizza and is crunchy on outside, soft and fluffy on inside. It could use a bit more seafood in my opinion, but definitely delicious!
Kalbi tang is also pretty tasty and light, which is great if you want just a little something for food. Do note this dish is also pretty darn oily. The last thing would be the bibim cold noodles, which for me was a miss. Anyway, I want to come back and try the bossam, along with all the other goodies. One of my current fave spots in Ktown for accessibility free parking in the back yaaaaas , availability, quantity, AND quality!
Great balance… be back soon! Steve C. Very solid food from a good KoreaTown landmark. Jean Y. They open 24 hours! Unbelievable price! Service was excellent, even though it was quite busy. The whole chicken soup was good. Two kinds of kimchee were excellent. Bindaedduk was also good. Sungjin S. Came here based on a friends recommendation but was very disappointed. I guess you really need to be drunk to truly enjoy this place.
