Avadon where is gavin
It has become weak and corrupt and the duke has a better path. I said I agree with the statement about Avadon, and she was surprised, but also told me her orders are clear. I guess there was no way out of that battle.
She and her beasts were tough, but they posed no threat. I reported this to Gavin and he decided to help me. I need to clear the way to the east, off the main road, and look for a hidden passage. He will wait for me there. I went as he instructed and soon met the Wayfarer again. No job this time, only questions he needs answers for. I would prefer to just leave, but the mark that makes me a Hand cannot be removed and it also means I cannot run away.
The only option is to overthrow Redbeard. Before he left, he gave me advice. I should spare the duke. It will mean a lot in the future. With that, he was gone and I continued. After some fighting, I met up with Gavin, and soon we were at the castle. Sadly, Gavin soon fell to a trap, so I was forced to continue alone. He pleaded for his life, explaining his motivations, appealing to reason, and he finally succeeded.
Speaking of frustrating to play through, though the combat system is in its basic principles and in most fights fairly fun to use, towards the end the game can become a slog. In addition, the game increasingly resorts to annoyingly gimmicky boss fights, which on the one hand do feel more substantial and challenging than typical fights but at the cost of being overlong and, all too often, being entirely impossible unless you know the trick to them — which badly undermines the ability of the player to come up with their own approaches to problems.
The game also has an annoying tendency to not allow you to ambush foes without listening to their little monologue. Other parts of the game seem rather formulaic. This determines whether they will follow your lead in saving or overthrowing Redbeard at the end of the game, or refuse to get involved. This is a bit of a Bioware ripoff, but there you go.
The problem here is that each and every one of these loyalty missions sooner or later confronts the companion in question with significant evidence that at best Avadon does not share their values, and in most cases demonstrates that Avadon has actually screwed them over in some fashion.
Most of the loyalty missions ended up making me feel less loyal to the characters in question. This sounds like a lot of gripes, and it is — Avadon feels very rough around the edges. Overall, the plot seems to largely be all prequel — by the end of the game, surprise, it turns out a secret force has been plotting a big attack against Avadon and the Pact. Well, whoop de shittity-doo: that much was obvious from the opening dungeon clearout quest! A few additional factoids become apparent over the course of the game, but it really feels like this one was rushed out in order to give people a taste of the world and get them geared up for the next games in the sequence.
This is particularly the case in the late game, where it feels like the game fails to take some things into account. You are commenting using your WordPress. You are commenting using your Google account.
