Boards Sleeping Dogs So can you kill anyone? User Info: teddified. User Info: Whc0c0. I honestly like the fact that they discourage hurting or killing innocents in this game.
In fact, I'll go out of my way to not do it. That's not to say that I've never gone on a shooting spree for the heck of it in any game, of course I have, I just reload after I'm done. Also, I kind of like the idea of only being able to carry a pistol and getting bigger weapons as temporary weapons.
Pistols are some of my favorite guns in real life, and this often extends into video games. Posted by Metamania on 03 Sep 12 at There is also a Wok you can use - if you leave your Aberdeen boat house and turn right there are 2 food vendors, one of the stalls contains 2 people a salesman and his apprentice who is carrying a Wok which you can take off him by bumping in to him and making him drop it.
Easy one to add to the list if you're looking for more weapons. Posted by FulbournSoldier on 04 Sep 12 at I threw the purse at a female passerby and she died in one throw. Not sure whether that counts. Posted by Lord BaneJ on 05 Sep 12 at Still will not unlock after using over 10 different melee weapons.
Had to start the game once before because of a mission glitch, so does this mean I have to start all over again to unlock this final achievement that I've seen many people are having trouble with?
Killing innocents with melee weapons DO count. If you have used 10 different melee weapons and no achievement.. Just keep collecting weapons and it will eventually pop. Make a check list to see what weapons you have used already.
This achievement ISN'T glitched, chances are you repeated a weapon or two. And as for the machete, I don't think you have to. I go the achievement before I even got to us the machete to pop the achievement. Posted by MeonOne on 18 Sep 12 at You don't have to use the machete: I finally unlocked this last night, but after restarting a third whole game. The achievement unlocked at mission "Dockyard Heist" while using the grinder on a triad. The unlock happened after doing a weapon attack pressing B which suggests the achievement can be done using melee weapons this way, rather than just heavily bashing your opponent.
This helps when using the plastic shopping bag which explodes on first heavy blow, although it doesn't when using press B weapon attack. Thanks for your reply.
Police XP is one of the three different ways to earn experience points in Sleeping Dogs. In order to increase level and gain skill points in the Cop skill tree, Wei will have to take on the police cases and must avoid both property damage and civilian casualties during missions.
On missions, the player starts with their potential Police XP reward completely filled. If they commit crimes, such as theft, damaging property or killing civilians, the player will receive less Police XP at the end of the mission.
Sleeping Dogs Wiki Explore. Just bear in mind, you are a cop. Not a gang member, which many people seemed to have drilled into their thick skulls. The cops aren't pleased you killed 1 guy, let alone going on countless sprees. That sounds reasonable, I like the idea of more melee focused open world game anyway. However, killing a pedestrian reduces your cop rating Or whatever the blue XP bar is , hopefully there's no repercussions for that bar having to fill the again, like losing a skill or something like that I believe it works like this in general for missions; You start with the potential to gain the maximum amount of cop exp.
That will diminish, every time you perform an act of violence towards civilians and cops. You start with no amount of triad exp. That will increase based on how well fight and how violent you are towards enemies not cops. I'm not too sure how face levels up. But all exp amounts can be modified by wearing a select appearance. Outside of missions; I do not believe you have to worry about anything, not even cops that you kill. I believe you won't be penalised.
However, there is supposedly a penalty for the Japanese version of the game for killing civilians. I like the idea of only carrying a handgun. Try walking around with a rocket launcher or assault rifle in public, see what happens. It is time for a more realistic open world game.
User Info: Extraspectre. You play an undercover cops. Yet, you want to kill mindlessly?? Hum, ok. Anyway, love the ideas in the game. Hong kong setting, close combat most, game seem to be played easily so you can see explosion or great move you pull. Just hope it's as good as it look like!
