So it's going to depend on the type of content that you're playing.
If it's video, OLEDs have a big advantage. But if it's a bright video game with a lot of white, then OLEDs may consume more power.
Steven V. It's a good sign that even if Nintendo's staying quiet about it, there is a new Switch coming. Whichever kind of display Nintendo chooses, there may be a resolution bump too. According to Bloomberg, a new Switch will use an advanced upscaling technique to achieve 4K resolution.
However, while it adds some neat new features - not least a 7-inch OLED display - it's not the much-rumoured Switch Pro we were all expecting. We still expect Nintendo to eventually debut a more powerful version of the console, possibly in A Nintendo Switch 2 or Switch Pro has been rumoured since early , when The Wall Street Journal spoke to "parts suppliers and software developers" in March of that year.

I still have only ever personally heard for a Switch Pro. And if that still happens, I'll continue to speculate that will have 4K output with a significantly more efficient chip with DLSS.
