Can you tune a baritone ukulele

You'll be a fourth lower so C is G, G is D etc. But you don't know the difference and the songs are just lower pitched. I did that when I got my Big Zebra and as long as you don't play in a group you're golden. Baritone is not that much harder than Soprano-Concert-Tenor in C6 tuning.

That was probably my favorite. I never bothered to transpose when playing DGBE - either re-entrant or linear. Just play the normal GCEA chords - you're just making shapes to match basically. To tune your baritone uke to GCEA, you will have to use a standard set of ukulele strings than what is on baritone instruments when you buy them.
If you are tuning the second alternate way, you will have to replace the D string that is thinner to get the desired sound. To go from standard baritone uke tuning to standard ukulele tuning all you need to do is put a capo on the fifth fret of the baritone ukulele. When you do this, you will see that the exposed notes are G-C-E-A. These chords change the tuning on your baritone ukulele to match those on a soprano, concert or tenor ukulele. Some capos allow you to adjust how hard the product is holding on to the strings on your ukulele.
The first and most basic way to tune your baritone ukulele is by ear. You will first tune the top string to D that is below middle C. Loosen the string, then tighten until the sound is identical. The standard tuning of the baritone ukulele is non-reentrant. The strings are tuned D3-G3-B3-E4 from low to high, which is exactly the same tuning as the top four strings of the guitar. Some ukulele purists don't think the baritone should be classified as a ukulele for this reason.
This is perhaps the main reason why the baritone is alternatively tuned to re-entrant tuning. The baritone can be alternatively re-entrant tuned to G-C-E-A in accordance with the other three ukulele types , or to D-G-B-E, with the D string an octave higher than non-re-entrant tuning.
The G-C-E-A tuning of the baritone ukulele requires a different set of strings to the baritone strings used for standard-tuning, and the high-D tuning of the baritone ukulele requires a different D-string.
Some models of baritone ukulele are sold with re-entrant tuned strings, however these models are much rarer than those baritone ukes that are sold tuned to the standard D-G-B-E tuning.
I don't know much about the uke, but, I played one a while back and loved it.
