I have crossed a thousands bridges in my search for something real

本当の「何か」を探しながらいくつもの橋を渡ってきた

There are great suspension bridges made like spider webs of steel

大きな蜘蛛の巣のような鋼鉄のつり橋も

There are tiny wooden trestles and there are bridges made of stone

小さな木の橋や石橋もあった

I have always been a stranger and I’ve always been alone

私はいつもさまよいながら一人ぼっちだった

There’s a bridge to tomorrow

明日に向かってかかる橋

There’s a bridge from the past

そして昨日から続く橋

There’s a bridge made of sorrow　that I pray will not last

いつか終わって欲しいと願いながら渡る悲しみの橋もある

There’s a bridge made of colors in the sky high above

空にはいくつもの色を重ねた橋がかかり

And I think that there must be bridges made out of love

きっとどこかに愛の橋もかかっていると、私は確かにそう思う

I can see him in the distance on the river’s other shore

遥か遠く、川の向こう岸にあの人が見える

And his hands reach out longing as my owns have done before

そして両手を差し伸べていてくれる
