Phoenix Decorating Co. The inaugural float entry from Medically Home depicts the heroic journey undertaken to deliver a new era of hospital-level care for millions of patients and their families. After a yearlong pandemic hiatus, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses returned to an iconic tradition to announce the seven members of the Royal Court this week, including a South Pasadenan among the princesses. Miller explained the challenge of choosing among so many deserving girls this year, especially since the Tournament extended the applications to those who already graduated from high school. It's a celebration more than a century old — a festival of flowers, music and sports unequaled anywhere else in the world.
It's America's New Year Celebration, a greeting to the world on the first day of the year, and a salute to the community spirit and love of pageantry that have thrived in Pasadena for more than years. Note that many Old Pasadena businesses maintain extended hours to serve the crowds before, during, and after the parade.
