Can i etch pyrex

I have created a video tutorial below to show you how to set up your cut file for this project using Cricut Design space. Select the text button and start typing the name that you would like on your project. You can change the font from the drop down menu at the top of your screen. Resize and move the text over the black ribbon in the design.

It helps to change the color of the text to something other than black so that it can be easily seen. On the next screen, be sure to mirror your project. Place a piece of transfer tape on top of your stencil and peel the backing off. Place onto the underside of your baking dish. Starting from the center, press down and move to the outer edges. Important: Before moving to the next steps, be sure to remove any bubbles or gaps in your vinyl. I cannot stress this enough!

I know this can be challenging to work around some of the ridges, so do your best. Put your gloves on and any other safety equipment remember to read the safety instructions on the etching cream bottle and start applying your etching cream to the glass using a popsicle stick or paint brush.

Tip for best results: Move the etching cream around during the minute etching period. This will result in a more even, less streaky application. Align the design as wanted before removing any of the backing. Then, using a piece or two depending on size of the design of tape along one edge of the transfer paper, create a hinge.

Once you have the tape hinge attached to the surface, peel the backing off from the stencil and carefully flip the design back into place. Use the scraper as normal to seal the design in place.
