How does ransom by lois duncan end

Reading "scary" books was fine then, because I knew everything would work out all right in the end. Reading this one brought back all the feelings of youthful intrigue I had in my teens, as I discovered the plot in each new book. It was refreshing! There were no vampires, no demons, no wizards,. Only being held for three days they are eager to go home.

Here, high up in the mountain of Albequerque, New Mexico reputations will be sacrificed, secrets will be relvealed and new love will blossom. Suspense, death, love and action withh keep you wondering: will they make it out alive?

After reading Ransom I feel that the book wasnt all that great becasue it didnt give a lot of details and it left you with really no ending.

My favorite parts were when Jesse kissed Dexter, because I knew that they likes eachother and when Glenn showed his true self because I never really liked Glenn anyways.

The setting of this book takes place in a cabin in the mountains of Albuquerque, New Mexico. There are 6 main characters. Glenn Kirtland, a boy who is full of himself and selfish. Marianne, a girl with a core of self sufficiency. Dexter, a smart and cautious boy. Jesse, a calm and quiet girl. Bruce Kirtland, the little brother of Glenn, who is always being lied to by his older brother.

Finally, the last characters ar I rated the suspense realistic fiction novel Ransom by Lois Duncan three stars. Finally, the last characters are the 3 kidnappers who kidnap the kids and hold them at a cabin for ransom. The main plot is that the 3 kidnappers take the kids and hold them at a cabin high up in the cold mountains.

The kids will not be released until the full amount of money is payed. My favorite part of the book is when the kids make a plan to escape. I liked that part because there was lots of action and it made me want to read more. My least favorite part of the book was the ending. I did not like the novel. I did not like it because there was not enough suspense and action and it was a boring story.

I wish this book had more action and suspense in it. I do not recommend this book to anyone because it is disappointing once you finish it and it did not have enough details.

In the novel ransom there were the kids named Glenn,Dexter,Jesse, Marianne,and Bruce they were the kid that got kidnap by Rita and Buck. It about these students that get kidnap while going home from school one day and there parent get a phone call asking for a ransom if they dint pay there will never see there kid again.

The kid are The book ransom by Lois Duncan is a mystery novel. The kid are working together and try to escape so there parent wont have to the ransom. I like the book Ransom because it was exciting through out the book there were some part you could stop reading. My least favorite part was the ending cause i would of like seeing the kid get home to there family that have been wait for days to see there child and it would be cool of the author would write about how they were doing afterwords.

I read and rated the realistic fiction Ransom by Lois Duncan a three out of five. This book is set up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It starts out with high school students on a bus saying that the kidnapping happened on a Thursday. They end up being captured by three adults, two men and one women, and taken up into the mountains to a cabin.

With their parents trying to get the money in limi I read and rated the realistic fiction Ransom by Lois Duncan a three out of five. With their parents trying to get the money in limited time, both the children and the parents don't know what to expect. I didn't really care for the book personally for about three reasons.

I would only recommend this book to people that were looking for a short book that doesn't have to be amazing. This was a very short but great read. The book had great characters, plot and setting, although the story could have been dragged out a little longer. The book just ended, there was no resolution, no sense of closure.

I did have some unanswered questions like: Does Glenn ever get caught for his action, what were the reactions of the parents and kids when they are finally reunited, how long do the Juan and Rita stay in jail for, does Mark Dexter's uncle , ever reconcile with his nep 4.

I loved Marianne's fierce personality, even with a gun pointed at her, she never cowered or lost her wit; also felt bad for her her real dad never even bothered to help pay the ransom.

Bruce's coming of age story was a joy to read about, he no longer saw Glenn his older brother as perfect, but as a guy with flaw and he doesn't have to follow in his shadow. Overall, a great book but with no ending. I would recommend this book, and would reread it in the future. I remember it as a kid 90s and loved it.

I remember rereading it multiple times. Now, in my 30s, I looked forward to the blast of nostalgia. Unfortunately this raised a few issues with the book. Pay phones still have a prominent role too. The second issue is the writing. With a younger mind, there wasn't the issue with POV hopping all over the place. On my current read, I couldn't keep track of whose mind I was supposed to be in before it changed again.

And character details were alluded to, then we got gray or no answers. The ending was also a little abrupt and there is not really any closure. When they got on the bus to go home, they were the last stop, the substitute bus driver Buck, the kidnapper skipped their stop. All of the kids have to work together and escape. I liked the book Ransom , by Lois Duncan because it involved suspense and mystery. The character I think I can most relate to is Jesse. She is quiet at first but when she starts to trust the other four kids, she talks more and more.

I do wish the book had a better ending though. It didn't even have and epilogue, or a sequel. It want to know how the other parents reacted especially Dexter's Uncle, Mark Crete, who didn't even know about the ransom because he was in Las Vegas, Nevada for a business meeting.

We settled in for the journey with four kids, two adults, backpacks and umbrellas all in the back seat. It was stop and go all the way. We were almost there when I noticed my son turning sickly green, the son that consistently becomes car sick. At first Victor declines the offer then he accepts it.

So later that day they head off to go to Phoenix and start walking to the bus stop. They run into two of their friends whose car will only drive in reverse and then they offer them a ride only if Thomas will tell them both one of his stories. So the two girls give them a ride and drive off. Once they are on the bus Victor keeps having flashbacks of when he was growing up. Not wanting to attend, Jeff and his elder brother, Liu, were about to decline before their mother happily agreed to the invitation.

Suppressing his irritation, Jeff waited until they finished unpacking the things before going to his mother's room to complain. Later in the book, during an escape attempt from the kidnappers, Dexter is shot in the arm, but the situation is presented so that it seems like he may have been killed, thus furthering the notion that anything can happen in Ransom ; there might not be a happy ending. Still, the kidnappers are not the only threat. People are not always who they seem to be.

This eventually becomes an integral aspect of the novel. This realization is far more horrible than the prospect of meeting death at the hands of the kidnappers. Instead, the reader is asked to believe that a budding romance between Dexter and Jesse has solved all of his problems.
