Comments Comment by Roflpopz Do you think it'd be wisest to sell the herbs during the beginning weeks of BFA, or save and use 'em for your professions e.

I mean, they sell for quite a lot in the first few weeks, and maybe there isn't really a need for contracts etc in the beginning. Comment by aephix How long do the contracts last for? Comment by gunsotsu "war scrolls are a NEW item added in battle for azeroth" lol.. Comment by gunsotsu ooo.. Below is the materials needed to craft a card by recipe rank:" Also - ilvl for darkmoon trinkets makes me sad.

Comment by synckeno There is currently no contract for the 7th Legion and The Honorbound. These particular reps are required for unlocking the war campaign and the first allied races Mag'har Orcs and Dark Iron Dwarfs. Comment by camy Any idea what the difference between offhands is? One requires Expulsom and the other doesn't but they both show the same stats and are BoE.

My guess is that the one without Expulsom is inscription only if anyone can confirm. Comment by Morrvahria "Learning to make the cards requires a skill level of 85 for rank 1 and for rank 2. Rank 2 can be obtained once Revered with the Tortollan Seekers. Comment by QuartrDollarKing You gain 10 rep with the Contracted faction per world quest completed with the Contract lasting until you use a different one.

It isn't alot but I suppose it adds up over time. Check below to find a list of pigments and what herbs create them. Like all crafting professions, every major capital will have an Inscription trainer.

Because Inscription was introduced after Patch 3. Neferatti will train the Horde at Thrallmar. Arthur Denny at the Argent Tournament Grounds will do the same. Because this is a power leveling guide, if you have access to Dalaran, Professor Pallin is the most recommended trainer. His shop is located near the AH for buying herbs and selling glyphs and has Jessica Sellers , who will exchange your ink for other types, inside.

Aside from the herbs milled to make Alabaster Pigment, each tier of pigment has a Common type and an Uncommon type. Those that have the higher chance are noted in the list below.

While at times the Uncommon pigment type is necessary for recipes, it is possible to go through the Milling section of your crafting without entirely using the herbs with the highest chance of providing it. As you level, there will be periods where you have a number of options for what Glyph to learn from your trainer next. During those times, there are no correct Glyphs to learn first, but what is important is only learning one at a time and crafting it until the glyph is no longer orange.

Craft 50x total. In the small patch that was applied to the Beta servers last night, there were a few Inscription tweaks. Of course there were some minor tweaks to various class glyphs, but the most interesting change came in the form of 2 new recipes: Minor Inscription Research and Northrend Inscription Research. The former creates items that may teach you a new minor glyph, while the latter creates items that may teach you a new major glyph. Minor Inscription Research looks to be a very cheap spell, using the basic Moonglow Ink , while Northrend Inscription Research is a little more expensive, requiring Ink of the Sea and Snowfall Ink , both of which are created with pigments made from milling Northrend herbs.

Both abilities also have a 20 hour cooldown, so no spamming them to collect all the glyphs even if you do lay in a massive stockpile of ink and parchment. It's sort of like the old spell research for casters from Everquest combined with the alchemy discovery system.

Of course, you don't have to gather rare drops like with research, and in theory, you won't have to make hundreds of items hoping for a discovery like discovery.
