Britain's Got Talent star Alesha Dixon stepped in for Nicole, when she couldn't make one batch of auditions. She also filled in for Simon when he fell ill and had to miss a couple of episodes. Other than that, there were no other surprise faces sitting on the panel. Simon invited Cheryl to join him — much to the dismay of Sinitta.
Sharon received assistance from her famous children Jack and Kelly Osbourne. Meanwhile, Nicole recruited Storzmy and as for Louis, he was joined by Mika. Dermot O'Leary, of course! Remember when he took some time out in , leaving the show in the hands of Olly Murs and Caroline Flack? Well, Simon has learnt his lesson and won't be repeating that mistake any time soon. Explaining why he ever let Dermot go in the first place, Simon told The Mirror : "I think there was probably a misunderstanding.
I thought he wanted to go and he probably thought I wanted him to leave. Neither of us, being stubborn, spoke to each other and then we realised that we miss him. As part of the deal, he's required to stay on as presenter until at least Awkward question She's also the face of all the X Factor social media platforms, including Snapchat, Instagram and Twitter. The voting statistics showed that Andrea topped the public voting in the first three weeks but was overtaken by Ben who won the remaining weeks. In the seventh week, Stevi Ritchie received more votes than Andrea which meant that if the result went to deadlock, Stevi would have advanced to the quarter-final and Andrea would have been eliminated. Additionally in the semi-final, Lauren Platt received more votes than Andrea which meant that if there was not a Final Showdown or if the result went to deadlock, Lauren would have advanced to the final and Andrea would have been eliminated.
Both times he was in the bottom two was a repeat of what happened to Cher in Ever since, nothing else has been heard regarding him. How come someone with such a huge voice doesn't go on to pursue bigger things?! Luke's room audition was the first audition to be broadcasted in the tenth series. He stood out in the auditions due to his unusual hair, which he revealed he hadn't washed for 9 months.
He still proved to have a unique voice and progressed through the competition. Sharon Osbourne immediately became a massive fan of his. He did mess up in Six Chair Challenge but his mentor Louis still saw something in him and chose him as his top 6 and eventually made his top 3 for live shows. Luke didn't initially stand out in the first 2 weeks but after a brilliant rendition of "Kiss from a Rose" in the 3rd week, he started to get much more notice.
The judges, particularly Sharon often referred him as the 'dark horse' of the competition. Unfortunately, Luke ended up in the bottom two, in Week 6, the quarter-final, and semi-final, which showed that he was losing his connection with the public. Luckily, Luke advanced to the final with fellow category member Nicholas McDonald and eventual winner Sam Bailey and he finished 3rd, as expected.
Many fans believed Luke would still have a more successful career than Sam and Nicholas, since he had more star quality. Sadly, they were wrong. Post the show, Luke signed a deal with RCA Records in and released his debut single in and it reached no.
In , he signed a new deal with BMG but has since to release an album or single with the record company. It's a shame he didn't have the big career fans expected him to. When Same Difference first auditioned, Simon called them quite annoying. Nevertheless, he later became their mentor when he was assigned the Groups category for the 4th series and still saw something in them and chose them as one of his top 3.
Through the live shows, the duo got relentless criticism from Louis every week, which included calling them 'cheesy' and saw them more suited as performers for children's parties than recording artists. Every week, Simon always stood by them and praised them for being upbeat.
Although they were favourites to leave the first week, they were surprisingly popular with the public and continued to stay in. They were however criticised by fans for often singing love songs, despite being siblings - somethings fans found very odd.
Nonetheless, they were able to make it all the way to the final without ever entering the bottom 2, much to Louis' shock and horror. Even though the 2 really wanted to win, they finished behind Boys category which was mentored by Dannii members Leon Jackson and Rhydian Roberts , who finished winner and runner-up respectively. Luckily, Same Difference were still able to land a deal with Simon's label and even guest performed the following year with their debut single but their debut album failed to reach the UK Top In , Simon let the duo from his label so they secured a new deal with Poplife Records but failed to have any better success with their 2nd album.
In , Same Difference finally split, with Seann attempting to pursue a successful solo music career, with no result. Although the Groups category was generally the weakest in , 5 After Midnight were without question the most stand out act in the category - Simon even admitted that he would have like to mentor the category just for them.
Though they were amazing performers, there were questions about their vocals - the judges have criticised them a few times for being better dancers than better singers.
Nevertheless, they were still one of the strongest acts in the series - Louis even went as far to admit they were potentially the best group he has ever mentored - even better than his last successful group JLS , though the boys didn't like it when they were often compared to the old boyband.
Even though they really had the full package, they sadly finished behind winner Matt Terry and runner up Saara Aalto. Simon still saw potential in them and signed them with his label, even before signing Matt. They performed their first single, "Up in Here" on Britain's Got Talent as guest performers the following year.
Unfortunately, there were speculations about them lip syncing, which turned out to be true. In , the three boys were dropped by Syco due to the lack of success. Shortly after, Kieran Alleyne left the group to pursue a solo career but like Sean from Same Difference, he hasn't had better luck himself than he did with his group. It's really disappointing that this group didn't make it bigger than they did - they really had the potential to be world-class!
Stacey surprised the judges in her first audition with her voice, especially as she came quite too strong in her introduction. She continued to progress to the live shows with Dannii as her mentor.
Although Stacey was a great singer, many fans admitted that they liked her more for her amazing personality than they did for her talent. Nevertheless, she continued to stay in through the live shows - by the sixth live show, she was not only the last act in the Girls category but also the last female standing in the competition and as the live shows were coming to an end, Stacey was getting more recognition for her singing.
Although she never fell in the bottom two during her time on the show, she crashed out in the first night of the final, finishing 3rd. After the show, it was revealed that Stacey topped the public voting twice while runner-up Olly Murs didn't even top it once.
The following year, Stacey took part in the tenth series of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! She also started a career in TV presenting and even presented the show for Matt Cardle , who not only won the show in but was mentored as well by her former mentor Dannii. She did the same for the other finalists in the 14th and 15th series.
Although Stacey hasn't totally giving up on her singing, it is more likely to remember her as a TV presenter than a singer - got a long-term part in Loose Women. Here are the latest winner odds Coral has provided as the final is right around the corner. Jump directly to the content.
