Why is aruba so dry

The Lesser Antilles are several islands extending in an arc from Puerto Rico to the north-eastern coast of South America.

The islands located north of the Venezuelan coast or called the Leeward Antilles. Aruba is part of this island group together with Curacao and Bonaire and a few islands of Venezuela such as Margarita Island.

Trade winds cool the island, making lying in the sun on one of the many beaches much more tolerable although care should be taken since this is deceptive - the sun is strong, in particular between 11am and pm and the use of high-SPF sunscreens is strongly recommended especially for fairer-skinned people. However, there is a "rain" season in which sometimes heavy showers can surprise you. Check below if it's safe to go to the beach. The temperature on Aruba is measured in Celsius and is practically constant throughout the year. Think cactus and wild donkeys to go with your white sand beaches and palm trees—not rainforest. I highly recommend a day spent in Arikok National Park, whether on your own or on a jeep tour. I took a full-day jeep tour , which visited the lighthouse, chapel, ostrich farm, lots of amazing beaches, saw the wild donkeys, and ended with a dip in the Natural Pool.
