Ten out of ten for Grimey Carter! There was the pulling of girls from the audience to serenade them while they cried and shook on stage and moments of fake amazement at how much the audience loved them. There was a gorgeous and terribly polite Asian couple sitting next to us in the audience, the man was very straight-laced looking and spent the duration of the warm up performance ignoring his girlfriend and sending emails on his smart phone.
Half way through the concert we saw him with his arms flailing above his head as he crooned along to As Long As You Love Me with his eyes closed in ecstasy while his bored looking girlfriend sat filming the stage with her camera.
I guess we figured out who dragged who. Including the warm up act, the concert went for three and a half hours without an interval. Sometimes a quickie is all I need. Did you go to the Melbourne concert on the weekend? What did you think? Do you have tickets for any of their other concerts? OMG I was there too on Saturday! I was on the floor, which was crazy amazing.
PS: I too wanted to leave before it was finished. Talking about his return to the group, he said: "Now, recently I felt inspired and wanted to create again and make music again. Kevin sang with the rest of the Backstreet Boys for their new album A World Like This and is currently on tour with the group until October. Kevin's bandmate Howie Dorough told Star magazine the reason the group had such staying power was because they had built up their fan base through hard work.

He said: "[The X Factor] wasn't around when we started, we had to do the grassroots approach and that's why we have such staying power and an unbelievable fan base. It was very cute and the Boys got really into it. Now I see a lot on Twitter. A lot of fans want it on both sides.
I realize many of you will disagree with me. You can. Just be nice about it and bear with me while I explain why. They did. It was seen as cheesy but also as something that had never been done before. NKOTB has done co-headlining tours like this with other acts since this, thus cheapening the special appeal — at least to people like myself. Also, BSB are very high in demand now. They just had a record setting residency and a sold out world tour. Their album was just number one in On top of this, and again…this is just my personal opinion.
Hence his popping in on the cruise. Something I always suspected and they confirmed in interviews. They asked if he wanted to rejoin them then and finish out the tour with them.
He said no. He wanted to wait until they were done. The moment it ended they were renting a house in London and recording songs together.
I simply do not see him going for it. Even though Nick is really gung-ho about that idea. It is what it is, in the end. Not in the right way at least. If it does happen? Hell I enjoyed the first run more than I ever expected.
Everyone will. We love the Boys that much. That I see as more likely given how friendly the two groups are with each other. A one shot where they do it to celebrate the mega-boy band that once was. Crazy in the best of ways because it was so unique and we never saw anything like it, nor would anything like it ever follow.
I'm in my early thirties and enjoy being a random panda. I also happen to have a semi-healthy love for the Backstreet Boys and Zombies. View all posts by Rose.
