I was two years old when my parents returned to Germany. After my travels I started Creative Spirits, initially to document my experiences and the places I had visited in Australia, especially those with an Aboriginal significance. Two more Aussie holidays followed until I decided to go back and live there. I felt a strong urge, a call of the land. As I learned more and more about Aboriginal culture I wanted to share this information. A few paragraphs in each section slowly grew into the largest and most visited part of my website, so much so that I now dedicate Creative Spirits to help you learn about one of the most neglected topics in this country: Aboriginal culture.

I run Creative Spirits by myself in my spare time, and I'm looking forward to being able to help you better in the future. For now, please accept my apologies if I cannot respond. There is no universally agreed upon term for referring to the many diverse groups who comprise the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of Australia.

More and more Australians inoculate themselves against ignorance and stereotypes by finally reading up on Aboriginal history and the culture's contemporary issues. But to truly move forward we need to achieve "herd information". It will definitely be really helpful in me getting to know, understand, honour and relate with Aboriginal people better.

Its fully referenced articles articles cover all aspects of Aboriginal life and give voice to Australia's First Peoples. Photos, tables, quotes and diagrams illustrate the content, and the occasional 'homework' nudges you to reflect.

Students and teachers benefit from vast listings of Aboriginal resources like movies, musicians and books. A growing number of e-learning materials, such as infographics, help comprehend topics quickly. Popular topics are Stolen Generations, a timeline, identity and population statistics.

Aboriginal poetry is an audience magnet. I think your website… is truthful and current and reflects the beauty and sacredness of my people's culture and history. I created Creative Spirits in as a site to document my travels through Western Australia, publish my photography and poetry. In I added a section about Aboriginal culture where I started to share what I had learned and read.
