Why did didier drogba swear
He was then pushed away from the scene by his manager, Guus Hiddink. Sky's lead pundit, Andy Gray, was quick to apologise for Drogba's language and the broadcaster cut soon afterwards to a commercial break. On the return to the studio the clip was shown again and, once more, Drogba's swearing was audible, prompting the studio anchor, Richard Keys, to apologise again for the error in failing to check the tape.
The broadcasting regulator, Ofcom , has requested tapes of the incident from Sky and it is not believed that a verdict will be reached before next week at the earliest. The decision follows the angry scenes that marred Chelsea's elimination from the Champions League after a draw against Barcelona in the second leg of their semi-final at Stamford Bridge on May 6.
Chelsea full-back Jose Bosingwa will also miss three matches after being handed a four-match ban, with one match suspended, by UEFA's disciplinary committee. Chelsea crashed out of Europe's premier club competition after Andres Iniesta's injury-time equaliser for Barcelona took the Catalans through to the final on the away goals rule.
The Blues had a number of penalty appeals turned down during the match by Norwegian referee Tom Henning Ovrebo and Ivory Coast international Drogba, who had been substituted, came back onto the pitch to harangue the official after the final whistle. Portuguese defender Bosingwa, meanwhile, likened Ovrebo to a "thief" in a post-match interview before withdrawing his comments.
Chelsea have also been fined , euros for "the improper conduct of their players and the throwing of missiles by their supporters". We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Australians and Traditional Custodians of the lands where we live, learn, and work. The club and the players have three days in which to appeal the decision. Posted 17 Jun 17 Jun Wed 17 Jun at pm.

So did our player verbally abuse the referee? Did he scream and swear in to the camera? How many times have teams lost finals, been relegated, denied league titles because of refereeing decisions? Just off the top of my head, I remember Mark Hughes scoring against West Ham on the last day in and it was wrongly ruled out for offside and Blackburn lifted the Premiership trophy that afternoon because of it.
But have you ever seen a team behave the way Chelsea did at the final whistle last night? The attention today should have been totally focussed on how poorly run UEFA is, with them appointing to referees for the European Cup semi-finals who made dreadful decisions, particularly the one for the Chelsea vs Barcelona match, but instead, thanks to those twats, the limelight is being taken away.
Yeh the referee was bad but how bad were the Chelsea players? UEFA will now hide behind the behaviour of Drogba, Ballack and Terry, instead of addressing what should have been the real issue this morning.
How can Chelsea criticise the referee for being unprofessional then go on to be unprofessional themselves? Terry asks how the players are supposed to feel.
