We got to the venue two hours before the show. We ate dinner first at a nearby resto. We were all giddy because two months ago we all have watched the 25th Phantom of the Opera Anniversary show courtesy of another ex-officemate who has the DVD copy. We were raving about it since then.

So, watching it live was like a dream come true. I was grinning from ear to ear the whole time. When we got to the venue, the CCP was teeming with celebrities and members of the high society enjoying the pre-show cocktail. It was so sosyal! We were already beaming by then.

Wow, we were rubbing elbows with the alta sociedad, literally! I tried my best to conceal my excitement as the pm approached.

We checked out the merchandise while semi-checking out the crowd. They were selling items like bracelets, shirts, cap, a bear dapat monkey na lang and other rip-off items.

I badly wanted the Prima Donna black shirt but it was already sold out. I got a key chain instead. Presyong Broadway at pesos! Pero keribels na, libre naman ticket. All we know was we were to be seated in the orchestra area.

And so when we were finally ushered to our seats, we were so surprised. Down, down, further down the usherette go until she stopped at the second row, center section. Oh, my God! We had the best seats in the theater. This was truly one hell of a night to remember, I thought to myself. We were so close to the stage!

And I am really fascinated with how conductors do their craft talaga. With just hand signals, they could guide a whole orchestra composed of violinists, bassists, pianists, etc. That must be one heck of a great skill and talent.

The music was marvelous because of him. I wanted to give him the rose I got from the pretty ballerina outside as a token of appreciation when he took his vow. This is it, my heart exclaimed! The stage was stunning. And the chandelier! Oh, the mighty chandelier! It was so grand. But we got a bit worried as it went up. It was practically hovering above us. I was told by a friend that it would really drop during the show. The cast was spectacular. These things do happen!
