Oprah what is love

I know this for sure: Love is. I've seen so many women and been one myself dazed by the idea of romance, believing they're not complete unless they find someone to make their lives whole. When you think about it, isn't that a crazy notion? You, alone, make a whole person. And if you feel incomplete, you alone must fill yourself with love in all your empty, shattered spaces. Look around and notice—possibility is everywhere. Do what you love, give it back in the form of service, and you will do more than succeed.

You will triumph. Every choice gives you a chance to pave your own road. Keep moving. Full speed ahead. Your journey begins with a choice to get up, step out, and live fully. What I know for sure is that your life is a multipart series of all your experiences- and each experience is created by your thoughts, intentions, and actions to teach you what you need to know.

Your life is a journey of learning to love yourself first and then extending that love to others in every encounter. You get from the world what you give to the world. The only people who never tumble are those who never mount the high wire. The key is not to worry about being successful, but to instead to work toward being significant - and the success will naturally follow. The chance to love and be loved exists no matter who or where you are.

Let not one single life have passed in vain. What really matters is who you love and how you love. Be loving to yourself and others will see that love reciprocated. This rule works every time. Failure is just a way for our lives to show us we're moving in the wrong direction, that we should try something different. What you're thinking, what you're saying, what you're doing, is having an impact on you and the people around you. I make sure to use my life for that which can be of goodwill.

It has fortified me spiritually and emotionally. Every day we present the best quotes! Improve yourself, find your inspiration, share with friends. For context, The Oprah Winfrey Show had ended two years prior, in I ended the show, and then there were a whole bunch of people who said, 'Oh, you don't have power anymore. But the truth is, I know who I am, and the thing about power for me is that it's connected to a source that's obviously greater than myself. Any time you can connect to the source and understand that that's where all of your energy, your creativity, your joy and your triumph come from, I consider that to be authentic power.

We often get caught up in whether we're in the right career, or the perfect relationship, or we're making it in life or getting ahead or falling behind. We worry that we don't give enough to those around us because we feel like we're barely getting by ourselves. But according to Oprah , the greatest gift you can give someone else, whether it's a coworker, a sibling, your partner, or simply the person sitting next to you at the cafe, has nothing to do with money or status or opportunity:.

I would say this to anyone in this room: You have no idea the power of noticing another human being and what it feels like when somebody knows that they have been seen by you. It is the greatest offering you can give. Top Stories. Top Videos. Getty Images. I was so sad. All of my real love came from my teachers. On the value of nature.
