Seton Hill University is a private, Catholic liberal arts university located in the small town of Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

The history of the institution began in when the Sisters of Charity religious order purchased the land on which the campus now stands, naming it after Elizabeth Ann Seton, the first American-born saint and the founder of the Sisters of Charity.

After establishing several high schools, in a four-year college was approved and Seton Hill College was born. Although it was originally founded as a women-only college, men have slowly been admitted over the years and in , when Seton Hill was granted university status, it also became fully coeducational. In , the university made international headlines when it became the first university to provide iPads for all students and an Apple MacBook for all freshmen, which students are allowed to keep upon graduating.

Today the university sits on a acre wooded campus in the scenic Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania, while there is also a smaller campus in downtown Greensburg that houses the Performing Arts Center and the new Arts Center.
