What makes the galaxy nexus so good

2022.01.12 23:53

So why do Android enthusiasts seem to remember the good sides of Nexus products more often than not? For one, Nexus users were, on average, true Android believers, and that stays true to this day. Nexus products are mentioned more often simply because the people mentioning them happen to be former Nexus users. My personal explanation of Nexus nostalgia has to do with psychology.

People tend to hold on to good memories for longer. Psychologists have been studying this phenomenon, called Fading Affect Bias , for almost a century. We tend to forget bad things sooner, or more accurately to remember the things that made us feel good for longer.

It sounds materialistic, but purchases can make you feel good about yourself. Especially phones, which we use daily and are highly personal products. Put simply, buying a certain phone or a certain brand says things about you. It can weigh in on your sense of self-worth. Buying a Nexus device meant more than buying a phone. When you got a Nexus, you became part of a community. Everyone had an iPhone or a Samsung. We all like to think of ourselves as special. Personally, I have my own rosy memories of a Nexus device.

Although it's slightly smaller it's also a little bit heavier at g compared to the latter's g. It doesn't feel enormous, really it's at the upper end of what we'd consider to be an ideal size for most users, but you can tell you are not using an iPhone 4S. The front is probably as minimalist as you can get. It's all black and being built from the ground up as an Android 4. In fact, all you have on the front is the screen, front facing camera and the brightness sensor, plus a cheeky little light beneath the screen that you don't even know exists until you get an email and it begins to pulsate.

The whole handset has a curved shape much like that on the Samsung Galaxy S3 but it's not too severe. The rear takes its design cues from the Samsung Galaxy S2 with a snap on cover that feels slightly coarse to give a good grip. It has both Google and Samsung branding on it. You won't find an SD slot on the outside, or indeed, the inside. Ridiculously, this — the flagship Google handset which is so set up as a media device — has been crippled by having NO expandable memory.

Words fail us. And they may fail you when you realise that 16GB internal storage is your lot. In this aspect, the smartphone is entirely in a league of its own. Samsung Galaxy Nexus in our office. So is the Samsung Galaxy Nexus a proper flagship for the company, or is it simply an Android 4.

We are going to continue next with an unboxing of the smartphone, followed by design and build quality inspection. I have a question for anyone who can help me out. I have a samsung galaxy nexus l and my problem is that from a while it begins to shut him self out and then restart again by it self.

I was wondering if some one can give me a advice or GSMArena team , 30 December
