Re: How long will bedding last? The small bag i have wouldn't last long but the massive bag would last a while i think xD. Wow, it's more expensive than Carefresh and you get less of it. Are there no other alternatives you can buy? I know a 14l bag of Carefresh only lasted me one Hamster Heaven cleanout.

With every other bedding i have bought except carefresh, the cage would get stinky, and I had to clean it out a lot more.

With this it has never smelt really at all, and I can clean it out a lot less often. The only problem is its expensive so what im planning on doing is getting some cheaper pulp bedding like carefresh, called boxo the sell at wall mart and do half and half, so it will still last a lot longer, so you get your bang for your buck, as your using less carefresh then u would normally, but still get the results.

I can't answer your question but I want to get some pink carefresh to match my pink cage for my lil boy lol Do you know how much it costs?

I would use that on some of mine and have to buy another 3 bags. Is that the small bag? I managed to fill my Hamster Heaven cage with none left over. Nat, if you just sprinkle some of it on top for a dash of color, it should last a while.

I use natural color carefresh for the bedding and put a mix of carefresh color on top, and it doesn't take much.

If you actually fill the cage with it, it would only last you a couple of cleanings.
