CorySimmons well laudable goal but you can have quite a uphill battle considering that the tactile feel of illustrators tools are better. For all the techical merits of inkscape. I use illustrator over inkscape because it feels better when handling lines and snap etc.
And if i need to work hours on end with a software this counts for me personally more than any other thing. This affects my productivity. Use AI if you use Adobe-centric workflow.
