After reading this book I was loaded with brilliant quotes, smart and doable goals and strong positive energy. I have "borrowed" some of these teachings and plan on spreading this wisdom around to others in my life.
Demi's words will be shared as they should be, and hopefully others will be just as moved spiritually as I was. Well, neither does b Some cliche quotes have a real deep meaning sometimes, and Demi explain it by a simple sentence, complete with her goals based of the quotes. Demi repeating some identical topics like: love yourself, love your flaws, be humble, count your blessing, spread love, etc, etc. But surprisingly, she wrote it many times without making me bored to read.
It's a lovely yet simple motivational book of quotes. Demi combines quotes from celebrities, movies, songs with quotes of her own and then commentary on how that quote relates to her life and the reader's life. What I loved about this was that at the end of each day's entry, there was a daily goal. This is the perfect book for a new year and people wanting a clean slate. I'll definitely be going back and rereading starting January 1st so I can try to complete the daily goals.

My rating for this book isn't so much based on the content or what I feel may have been a marketing ploy to re Instead of telling her story, Lovato chose to give advice to readers for This is actually a cool idea, as a lot of her fans are girls in middle and high school who can always benefit from the advice of someone older whom they will actually listen to.
But what about her older fans? I don't go out searching for self-help books, so maybe a lot of them try to drive the same points home over and over again, but Lovato felt very repetitive.
