So I think my ISP is blocking more than port Here are the details NVR static IP address of I used the Shields up site to test my ports and received a "Stealth" message for all 6 ports. Cox claims to only block port 80 but i have reason to believe otherwise and i'm on a mission to prove it. To test this theory I can also use my mobile phone app to connect to my cameras which uses the ip address So port 80 and work for me on all devices and apps within the home.

I changed my port settings on the NVR http, server, rtsp which should not be blocked by Cox. The port forwarding rules were previously created in my router. Also, my mobile phone app stopped working until I changed the server port to in the mobile app and like magic it worked. If port forwarding rules are not used by my LAN when communicating between devices, then i guess the above test didn't prove anything. My final test will be to plug my NVR into my modem directly via cat5 cable.
