Our Teams Appellate Competition Teams Appellate Advocacy : As members of an appellate moot court competition team, MSU College of Law students have the opportunity to argue in law schools and courtrooms throughout the country, practicing their oral advocacy skills before prominent judges, attorneys, and law professors. Build skills and experiment. You'll practice public speaking, structuring legal arguments, preparing briefs, developing professional judgment, and analyzing cases.


Michael A. Lawrence : Racial Justice. Barbara O'Brien : Civil Rights. Frank S. Ravitch : Law and Religion. Justin Simard : Legal History and Slavery. Developing moot court talent also requires hundreds of hours of volunteer time from dozens of MSU Law faculty members and alumni and builds valuable mentoring relationships between current and future Spartan lawyers.
