Long made in Wisconsin, was once separate from the larger Bobcat construction equipment, it was purchased by the larger Cat a few years ago. The mowers will continue to be made in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin.
I did construction work all my life before taking this job. I want to reinvest in tools again for projects that I have planned. Not so. Most of their power tools are made in China. Craftsman hand tools are certainly much better than they were 10 years ago as most Asian made tools have improved their quality and finish in the last decade. Snap -on hand tools such as wrenches are US made from better grade alloys which allows them to be much thinner and maintain a lifetime warranty.
