I'm having the same problem with Flash timeouts and crashes in Firefox. It especially got worse with the latest version of Flash and the newest Norton Toolbar that came out recently. I tried disabling every add-on and re-enabling until the problem was reproduced. It seems the Norton Toolbar is the culprit.
Not necessarily. I have Firefox 28, and the toolbar and browser are working fine with no crashes when in use. After further trial and error, It seems my particular problem has nothing to do with the Norton Toolbar, but rather the protected mode of Flash Disabling protected mode in Flash solved the problem no more Flash hangs and Flash crashes.
This protected mode is new and it seems they're still learning how to make it work well with Firefox. It works okay with IE and Chrome, but uses a different method with Firefox.

Reports from users leaving Norton because of crash. Reports from unhappy users. Hey when a product does not perform as it should, then yes people will leave.
Please if you can not help please keep your comments to yourself Thank you. So, I should not attempt to enlighten that your issue is well reported. If you feel my message as detraction. You may Flag As Offensive. There are no symptoms all it does is crashes, a error report is sent to Mozilla, and that is it, no Norton error msg's come up. Yes, as I mentioned and you'll find for others. Maybe some add-on combo conflict?
That's what I'm trying to relate.
