All this publication's reviews Read full review. Gaming Nexus. Even if you're not into puzzlers or role-playing games, this is definitely one game you can't let slip by. Cheat Code Central. This game has taken the best aspects of two winning genres and created an experience that is both original and rewarding.

Both puzzle hounds and dungeon crawlers alike will find this game to be just what the doctor ordered. Game Informer. The AI seems insanely good one minute then misses an obvious attack the next, and the story is completely throwaway, but there is enough gameplay here to keep puzzle fans busy for a long time. All this publication's reviews. A gaming experience unlike any other available today, and one that you absolutely shouldn't miss.

It has excellent local wireless multiplayer. Nintendo Power. Also, the fact that enemy AI just happens to execute almost every move with near-perfection by lining up multiple turns in a row makes for some frustrating gameplay. User Reviews. Write a Review. Incredibly addicting. If you like Bejeweled but found it just a Easily the best purchase price to gameplay ratio I've made for the DS. If you like Bejeweled but found it just a bit repetitive and stagnate, this game is absolutely perfect. I haven't finished it yet and I'm already praying for a sequel. Awesome game. Game of the year for me. Beautiful 2d graphics. Very well-balanced. Lots of stuff to do and collect. Extremely addictive. Nintendo Power has lost my confidence in them.

This game is one of the funnest DS games I have ever played and the replay value is very high Nintendo Power has lost my confidence in them.

This game is one of the funnest DS games I have ever played and the replay value is very high as well. The price for this game is very low. If you don't remove your party members first, some of them will leave your party permanently when you fight the first of the 3 generals. The reason for this, as best as I can tell, is that if you choose the "Follow The Sword" quest, you are essentially deciding to take the place of Bane, instead of just defeating him, and some of your party members don't like this option at all.

Once Dark Hunter realizes you released the Necromancer Morag earlier in the game, he will leave your party immediately, and permanently, because he feels betrayed by your actions. This is why you must remove all of your party members before fighting the first general, as the general will rat you out for releasing Morag earlier in the game. This is the largest single quest bonus available in the game, unfortunately, you don't get it till just about the very end of the game. Tip: It should also be noted that you don't actually have to waste time equipping Sir Ector's sword to do the "Follow The Sword" quest.

The game implies that you do, but you don't. You merely need to have it in your possession. Note: You can pretty much disregard the Iceguard quest award when planning your character as you are practically at the end of the game before you can actually obtain this award. This should be considered when planning a character.

You get this award for rescuing the elven captives for the Ice Queen. Note: Sometimes you don't get the quest where you get the "Compassionate" award. This is the quest where you have to kill the Queen Ant for Gruuldok the the Orc leader. I think there is a bug in the game because I've not yet found a valid reason that this quest should not trigger otherwise.

I've had several games so far that this quest didn't spawn properly so it must be a pretty major bug. If you don't get this quest, you may need to add another 4 points to your Cunning to make up for it, assuming that you are trying to get to 20 Cunning, and are depending upon these 4 points to do so. If anyone knows how to obtain the "Compassionate" award reliably, and repeatably, please message me so I can update the guide, otherwise, I will just assume this is a bug in the game that needs to be fixed.

Note: Assuming the "Compassionate" quest spawns properly, you will get 16 Cunning total from quest awards so you should never need to have more than 4 more points to go along with it in order to reach 20 Cunning total.

Unless you have a character that has Cunning as a primary stat, you should rarely need more than 20 Cunning as there are very few enemies that will get to go first when you have 20 Cunning. The only other useful thing that Cunning does, to the best of my knowledge, is to increase the occurrence of and the power of Wildcards, and to increase the chance of getting a free turn when matching Gold.

Note: You can safely ignore the entire "Against The Plague" side-quest that becomes available at level It is one of the add-on quest-lines that they added to the Nintendo Switch version of the game.

This quest-line features a plague spamming boss that is so powerful that he will likely prevent you from playing a perfect game, so don't bother if you are trying to play a perfect game. The only thing of any value to be obtained from this very short quest line is an item that would have been quite nice earlier in the game, but by this point in the game, it really isn't very useful.

If you are not trying to play a perfect game, then go for it. Tip: Try to finish Sunspear's quest line if the game will allow you to do so.

Sometimes it seems to be a bit buggy. Maybe I didn't have him in my party at a time that I should have or something. This is a big help for the end game because almost everything you fight will be undead by then and you will get to start with an extra 10 Red mana for free.

With the extra 10 Red mana, this allowed me to use Stomp as an opening move in the late game. Tip: One of the very first quests that you will get is "Patrol Duty". Do this quest 3 times to go up 2 or 3 levels, and to easily capture your first enemy. The cool thing about this quest is that its infinitely repeatable, so you can use it to fight an extremely weak enemy to get your first few levels before you have to fight a tough enemy. The other cool thing about this quest is that once you get your first mount, and train it up a few levels, you can get an infinite experience loop by taking the quest and instead of fighting the Skeleton, just "avoid" it.

It will disappear from the map and you will still get the quest reward. Unfortunately, it's a very small reward, but it is an infinite reward that can be exploited if you wish to do so. If you are hard up for a few XP to reach the next level in the early game, this little trick can come in handy.

Tip: The "Peace Talks" quest that you get early in the game is only there to allow you to fight enough Giant Spiders to get a Giant Spider mount early in the game.

Once you capture a Giant Spider, you need to stop fighting the spiders and end the quest by reporting back to the town. There is nothing else to be obtained from this quest. Tip: When given a choice between keeping an item or giving it back to its rightful owner, it is the best choice to return the item. You will almost always get a better reward this way.

This is especially true of the "Dwarven Heirloom" quest. If you don't return the item, you will lose 2 Morale, which is way more important than the worth of the item.
