Usb support for windows nt4

I also had to spend alot of time on the same issue, part two was due to fire-wire. I did not find an appropriate answer at that time, anything used was so slow that the usb advantage was lost And a non-usb device was always better and available. Just luck I suppose. NT4 doesn't support USB in itself does it? I also tried to install an HP scanner as USB connected but the install software said "you can't do that" without even trying to do the installation. Weird huh! Mad stuff, I guess i'll have to give that a go our side ;.

The entire NT driver programming model had to change before PnP could be supported. It's not a driver thing, it's an architecture thing. So you stand to make a lot of cash on this and you're quibbling about the cost of one server? Get your act together. I hate dongles with a passion. I cant beleive that app you are using does not offer a parallel port dongle too. I would go with two servers in your situation. No connect, disconnect necessary.
