Just want to share Microsoft support last update as we logged a ticket, they asked to configure system-wide static proxy for one affected machine with the customer proxy IP zscalar and test, we did this and issue is gone!.. The notebook is domain joined.

Could you try these steps to start the PC in safe mode with networking so we can determine whether a faulty driver is causing the issue? Don't let go of the Shift key until you see "Choose an option". Click Restart. Press 5 or F5 to boot in safe mode with networking 5.


Sign in to the PC using the password associated to the account. This will boot the PC in safe mode with only the basic apps and services running, and with the network device enabled. The device should have a working internet connection in this mode. Please tell me if this works and we'll continue troubleshooting in this mode.

User logons from domain-joined W7 clients normally take 30 seconds but intermittently take 8 minutes. XPERF shows that a series of logon scripts called by Group Policy preferences to establish mapped network drives are taking a long time to execute.


A network trace shows clients experiencing slow logons authenticating with a local DC, pulling policy from a local DC but sourcing scripts defined in Group Policy preferences from a remote DC half-way around the world.


Clearing the IPv6 checkbox does not disable the IPv6 protocol. Windows 7 clients experiencing slow logons due to the inability to resolve certain IPv6 records to a valid IP address for target computers used in the logon process.


Problem resolved by removing an intermediate device on the network which was issuing router advertisements. Users experience slow logon times. EXE to execute scripts. Windows Server R2 not impacted. Every other boot is slow on computers configured with more than 96 DPI. Larger numbers of cached profiles cause longer logoff delays. Logoff is fast when desktop search is disabled or the policy setting is not applied.


Root cause is being investigated. Resolve by installing KB High workload causes longer wait. Enabling Internet Explorer branding on computers running Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 8 may cause a secondlogon delay unless KB is installed with the corresponding registry setting.


Install fixes KB or KB Group Policy preferences installation of printer files causes slow first-time logons due to time spent copying a MB file over the network, and executing the printer installer. Group Policy preference-based printer drive installation runs synchronously meaning that the operation must complete before the user logon operation can continue.


Evaluate whether print drivers need to be installed on each unique logon. Install multiuser and "silent" printer driver installers as required. Group Policy preferences configured with item level-targeting on security groups perform inefficient recursion of group members. Windows 7 clients experience OS boot and user logon delays.


SceCli event is logged with extended error 0x No mapping between account names and security IDs was done. Windows computers using the Group Policy Application Deployment client-side extension experience slow logons if the client is covered or the logon is serviced by an RODC. Logon delays of up to 10 minutes have been reported. High workload causes high delay. User Logons hang for an extended time. Setting the policy to delete profiles older than 1 day combined with daily reboots exacerbates the delay.

Problem occurs if default user profile contains mapped drives defined with alternate credentials. Logon is fast after drive mappings defined with alternate credentials are removed from default profiles and cached profiles derived from the invalid default user profile.


Windows 7 computers with the OS stored on mechanical drives may boot slowly if the superfetch service has been disabled in Services Control Manager or if the prefretch service has been disabled in Services. Windows 7 computers installed on partitions larger than 2 Terabytes may be slower to boot when the number of restore points causes OS startup to occur without the benefit of readyboot.
