And I guarantee you will learn exactly how you can increase your vertical in the 15 page guide. Hey, my name is Colin Reay and I've been coaching basketball and track for about 6 years. I've been interested in how much you can accomplish with the human body for a few years and have always wanted to jump higher and be able to throw down awesome dunks. I've created this site to give you a start for ways to jump higher with a bunch of jumping workouts and jumping programs to help you get the most out of your vertical jump.

Chris Barnard does a fantastic job of demonstrating these exercises through a HD video demo series. The Flight System does a great job of incorporating the latest science based evidence in the field of jump training into the program.

It is a lot more expensive than other jump programs on the market that offer much more value for less. You can compare all of the leading jump programs to The Flight System in the table below. Bounce Kit is a 3 month long jump program which consists of a range of jump specific exercises broken up into 3 distinct phases. S you will gain access to your membership portal and program content. You can compare all of the leading jump programs to Bounce Kit in the table below.

Ben Patrick otherwise known as the "knees over toes guy" is changing the game when it comes to knee health and sports performance. Previous research suggested that your knees should never go past your toes when undertaking exercises and sporting activities. Ben's philosophy is that by training the knees through a full range of motion we can improve performance and reduce the risk of injuries. G have created an online coaching system that aims to improve knee health and develop athleticism.

The A. G program requires that you meet certain physical "Standards" before you can progress to the next level. These standards prepare the body for more intense future sessions and reduce risk of injuries.

Basically you complete the 1 week over and over again until you pass the standards. This is not the best vertical jump training on the market but definitely worth a look if you have had previous knee injuries or just want to bulletproof your knees. Compared to other vertical jump systems the ATG program is very expensive. The ATG website and app have a full breakdown of all the programs and some nice instructional videos. All the exercises are shown on your calendar and you are guided through them daily by your Coach.

You do the exercises for the day, and you send in form videos to your Coach to review. Coaching is not from Ben Patrick directly, but his staff who you can send videos and critique form, stretching. This a great program for those of you with knee issues and those who would like to bulletproof your knees but may not be most effective for vert optimization.

P is an expensive monthly online vertical jump coaching and training system created by Isaiah Rivera and John Evans. To access the T. You get what you pay for with this system. The top price tier will give you access to video analysis, high priority responses from the coaches, monthly calls and access to group chat.

After you sign up online you will be asked to complete a questionnaire asking about goals and previous training history and then they send you a response program in hrs. After that you will also get added to the group chat. The T. P workouts are drip fed a week at a time at a time to keep you engaged and paying which is very frustrating.

The first thing in each session is a joint health questionnaire knees and tendons. The program includes heaps of dynamic warm-ups and the usual strength and plyometric exercises as seen in the other popular programs. Plyos first and then strength training on leg days. The program is big on olympic lifts and sprints. P does have a great selection of innovative core exercise routines and Rivera's tips on dunk technique are helpful.

Considering the price of the program, the demonstration videos are very ordinary. Most videos feature random people doing exercises not the people who create the program. We would like to see Isaiah Rivera completing the routines. All of the programs listed above get results at a much cheaper price than the T. P system. However if you are cashed up, have money to burn each month and require a coach to hold your hand through the process of obtaining a higher vertical jump then you may like this option.

If you cant afford access to this program you can still get just as great results with much more affordable and proven week jump programs such as Vert Shock or The Jump Manual.

You can compare all of the leading jump programs to the T. P Jump Program in the table below. BoingVert contains heaps of great science based jump training information. For most people, probably too much.

If you love to read and geek out on jumping sports science theory then you may love this jump program. Many beginners may find this system causes paralysis from analysis.

You can read our full BoingVert review here. There are many better designed and much more engaging vertical jump programs out there on the market if you would like to improve your vertical jump fast. You can compare all of the leading jump programs to the BoingVert Jump Program in the table below. The Flight School is contains 8 weeks of plyo workouts designed to improve explosiveness and jumping technique.

The jump program is divided into 4, 2 week phases in a progressive system. Basically the intensity of the exercises increases over the 8 weeks. Foam rolling , myofacial self release techniques to improve mobility and enhance recovery are also included.

Unfortunately the program is let down by the poor exercise periodization and presentation eg. The programming is definitely not suited to beginner trainers and they actually suggest to google the exercises yourself to learn how to do them. If you don't have a base of previous plyometric exercise experience then you will likely get overuse injuries such as tendinitis and shin splints with this program. Exercises such as hurdle jumps in the early phases of a program is always a bad move.

The program is very repetitive and then adds more intense exercises such as single-leg hurdle jumps. Progressing on sets from low volume to increased volume progressive overload. Phase 4 - weeks 7 and 8 introduces sprints, abs rest, plyos hurdle jumps into box jumps combos. There is a weight training add on but it is not very jump specific.

Just generic leg extensions and lying hamstring curls, leg press, stiff leg deadlifts, calf raises,. Then, you or someone else can measure exactly where you were able to reach. Leg exercises are the best way to add a few inches to your vertical. This largely depends on your own experience and athletic level. However, with the right exercises, most people will see a significant vertical increase in roughly six months.

Those who are just starting their journey might take a bit longer. Most of the vertical jump programs covered here will provide you with extra ways to improve your vertical. However, motivation plays a big part as well. Improving is a mental game, and seeing what other players can do with extra hops may spur you onto even bigger heights.

When it comes to premium jump programs, I believe that Vert Shock stands above the rest. It takes quite a bit of hard work, but the ease of the program, as well as the unique way of looking at jumping, makes it fun and rewarding. The shock method gives you impressively quick results. All of the workouts are simple and there is no equipment required. Though more advanced users might want to go with something else, everyone else just starting on their jumping journey will absolutely love everything Vert Shock brings to the table.

Hmm, I would have recommended another couple of programs. Your email address will not be published. Buying Guides. Eric Winkler. Quick Navigation. Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published. What I like about it is it starts out with the science of things and explains the different factors that affect how high you jump. It then follows this up with what are the most important things to focus on to actually get improvements.

For me, as an athlete, I particularly like that he placed these sections in the beginning so we read it. It will be worth your time to read the first sections thoroughly. It made my training more effective knowing that eating right and staying away from the gym is just as important as the work you put in the gym.

When it comes to the workouts, the Jump Manual uses a combination of lifting weights, jump training and other agility development skills. All of which let you gain inches on your leaping ability. To learn more about the Jump Manual, see our review here.

The more important reason is that it will save you time and effort. These are tried and tested ways. And, not just by D1 athletes but also weekend warriors, high school preps and also playground enthusiasts. When choosing the right type of training for increasing your vertical you want to consider a few things.
