The C clip holding rotor may be removed by 2 flat head scerw drivers. You'll surely need a tweezers to set it back, to hold a washer in position and to set the C clip in the groove. C clip and a washer are pushed by a spring, and they jump out. Please take care. You may cast 3g. Ultra light weight 3. You may cast 2g with this spool. Ultra light weight 2. Titanium shaft. You may cast 2g. Super shallow, light weight spool to improve casting performance for light rigs. LIne capacity 0.

Flat bottom, ultra light-weight 8g, 30mm dia spool, same as stock spool of reel above. G1 drage Extra strong duralumin spool. Flat bottom, super light-weight spool to improve casting performance for wide range or weight. Extra strong duralumin spool. Casts great for heavier than 7g. Extra strong dulalumin light weight 16g spool. Line capacity 0. You'll notice it's actually horizontal, as well, and I'm going to be putting on this Daiwa BG. Turn the bail arm over, and wrap it around at least a couple times.

Now, there's many ways to tie on line. I'm just going to do a triple granny knot. One, two, three, and then just tighten it up, and then repeat it the other way around. One, two, and three, and then tighten it right up. Now this tagging of line, which is the end of the line, you chop it off, and you chop it off quite short as well. You don't want the tagging getting in the way.

Turn the bail arm over. Now before you start, you do have to drag it a little bit, because you need some tension. And you see how that's going backwards there? Get rid of that [inaudible] reverse, because you don't want that causing you problems as well. Now, hold the line with tension there. You notice that there's a fair bit of tension, so you don't want to wind on line loosely.

You need it with some tension. Put your arm up at least 25 to 30 centimeters above the reel, and then start winding. You hear that? It's being wound under tension. After working hard to source the components necessary to complete the conversion, I am now able to provide low-cost solution for those wishing to convert their own DAIWA Big-Pit reels.

What level of expertise is required to fit them? Q How long does the conversion take to perform? A Converting the spool cap normally takes around ten minutes — although once completed, it is preferable to leave the spool cap for twenty-four hours to allow the resin to cure fully.

The spool conversion can be done in approximately five minutes. Q Is the conversion permanent? A It is possible to return the drag to its original condition, however this depends on the level of care taken when performing the conversion process initially. A By replacing some or all of the felt washers back into the spool assembly, the Quick-Drag effect can be fine-tuned.

Experiment with the washer configuration to achieve the amount of turns required to suit your preference. What can I do to prevent this? A Invariably, this is a direct result of the thread within the spool cap becoming worn after sustained use.
